Will sony come with something like that? I even expect more from lg, I wonder if they will change their ways this year or not.

ckdinesh, 14 Jan 2017Design looks like a phone from the future, but 3000mah battery ? Seriously samsung ?Samsung still shocked and trauma.
Too rounded for me. Screen edges are ugly too.
There are enough fans to buy it, but I'll pass. Same reason didn't bought S7/edge.
Will wait to see NOKIA flagship this year.

jat, 14 Jan 2017it would feel very strange having no home button for the first time in Samsung phones. Everyone will get used to it. Says Apple
ckdinesh, 14 Jan 2017Design looks like a phone from the future, but 3000mah battery ? Seriously samsung ?Maybe they want to play safe with the battery explosion since the battery will not fit as for the Note 7 puncture the battery because the design inside of it are too small space between the battery
Not a fan of edge screen, battery a bit small too. Other than that it looks like a decent phone, just don't F it up again Samsung.
Looks like any other Chinese phones like Axon 7, Le Eco Pro 3, Xiaomi with a curve screen. Not so all that ground breaking.
Design looks like a phone from the future, but 3000mah battery ? Seriously samsung ?
xvi, 14 Jan 2017The screen looks to be 16:9 from my measuring, height is roughly 1.78x the width, so 16:9. ... moreThe screen is 17:9 (4096x2160) measure again, it's important, 16:9 would be disastrous as it would mean no place for on-screen button.
The screen looks to be 16:9 from my measuring, height is roughly 1.78x the width, so 16:9.
I hope this is true as I really don't want a taller screen, however, if the screen size is 5.7" diagonal and it's still 16:9 the size would be too big for me anyway. I'm ot sure of the validity of this as there is no USB type C and having all the buttons on the left hand side is weird. Maybe they'll do something different and put the on screen buttons in the "edge" of the screen on the right (or left). Which is why they moved the volume and power to the left so that they wont be covered by where your hand would be to press the default right side on screen buttons.
And here I thought I won't be upgrading my phone for a few years :/
Anonymous, 13 Jan 2017There are new accommodations for the edge of the screens and accidental tap registration. They said that about the GN7 and I was still getting plenty of accidental touches... plus the thin edges aren't comfortable with slippery glass... I had to hold my GN7 a lot tighter than my GN4.
