If the 3.5mm jack is present and has on screen buttons then am all yours. But 5.5" is the sweet spot for screen size.

But I do agree they should also release a 5.1 phone for those of us who like small phones. A 5 incher with imperceptible bezels is no bigger than the original iPhone in fact it may be smaller due to being less thick. That is important because phones gotten too big lately.
Back to the original iPhone size also means back to one handed operation and phones in the size of 2000s (which IMO was the perfect size for handhelds, in the prior and following decades they were too brick like)
Seems like, no stereo or dolby speakers again.... Fail to understand whats the big deal in incorporating dual stereo speakers??
Secondly if speculations are right, this 5.7 and 6.2 combo may be a epic fail for lot of fans who like relatively smaller devices to hold properly. For Note series, its fine as they have a segment of customers for it and pen etc but for regular S series, its a fail..... 5.5 Inch of S7 edge was just about perfect size at max..... Samsung, please listen to your customers basic demands at least
kodak, 13 Jan 2017Apple already took notes of this beautiful design.this design has been with Sony for a while now, so Apple is just a 2nd copy, not the first

The best most practical design for big phone, for one hand operation.
No accident touch issue, at all.
Feel sorry about you ignorant
The design look like a suppository pill - maybe that where all samsung products belong.
Āthe 3.5mm headphone jack is safeĀ
Thank you Samsung, thank you!!!

One handed use is back. Palm rejection disallows rogue touches, finally phones would be pocketable again. What's not too like? Troll-haters get lost.
it would feel very strange having no home button for the first time in Samsung phones.
Ghostwolf, 13 Jan 2017What do you gain with an "all screen phone" when the first thing the new owner has to do is pu... moreAll screen phone allows to put a case and still have a smaller phone. All screen phone plus case is smaller than a phone with huge bezels and no case, better protected too.
What do you like in gargantuan phones. Aren't phones big enough for you? At this point they look like bricks ... Finally a chance to turn them back into something pocketable. Don't spoil it for the rest of us because you can't hold your phone.
Pia, 13 Jan 2017the first phone that completely departs from the original iphone's design? LoL....Mi Mix say ... moreNot mass production. And sharp phones were even before that. Again low volume phones. Read before commenting. I didn't say first, I said first mass production, I.e. first that will become kinda ubuiquitus. I'm very angry at the one that upbotwd you , didn't read my post either.
It looks hideous. Super ugly. Where the Note 7 was a design of which I was completely happy with, this one is absolutely ugly. But ok these are not real pics yet.
Not enough bezel + 'edge' screen = usability nightmare. Interest level ¯↘️

Neither has really brought forward any true innovative designs in the last 3-4 years. Just rinse and repeat with last years design with a few minor tweaks. Samsung's last true innovative phone was the Note 4. After that, it has slipped every year.

I speak and understand proper English. 2) I have worked in the machine shop/design industry for 30+ years, so I do know what constitutes proper mechanical design and what is design garbage for multiple industries. 3) As far as "not knowing how metal is coloured", you obviously have no clue yourself. There are many finishes available to various metals, depending on the design requirements, be it painting, anodizing, plating, or even nitride coating.
This would be the first Samsung smartphone with on screen navigation keys
Naldi98, 13 Jan 2017Beast, hope they have changed the UI a bitI know that UI sucks
