kurotsuki, 15 Jan 2017Sammy from the front, iPhone from the back.... oh well.... Where the hell is that beautiful N9 go?Maybe sammy on the front...but apple on the back!!!!!thats just no.
Anyway Nokia has done so much designsthat i am almost sure that some of sammy's and apple's design can be traced back to some nokia designs.
Anyway the design here is a bit influenced by past lumias.
edwooty, 15 Jan 2017I hate it for a reason. Too much resemble SAMMY's form!Sammy from the front, iPhone from the back.... oh well.... Where the hell is that beautiful N9 go?
Anonymous, 15 Jan 2017You're falling behind.. This is as real Nokia as it can be.. It is designed by HMD which is co... moreYeah... The very same people who drive the Nokia mobile division. One which cause the Nokia downfall (by neglecting competition and over confidence at their stagnated Symbian). One who agreed to Elop's decisions to use WP (which at the time, unproven). I don't think I can trust another effort from them.
Look at this Nokia 6. Following the currently common design used by any Chinese OEMs (yes, more or less, iPhone design language). If you reasoning that what could differ from smartphone design, look at Samsung's design language. Although it's not my taste, they get a thumb up from me for sticking on their design which makes people think "Samsung" when they look a Samsung devices. N9 design should be their base references to differentiate from others.
What bothers me is the fact it's not an original Nokia, it's made by HMD which is another company, any way I like Nokia's return,I never bought and buy Nokia but I like its phones, I mean real Nokia
Finn, 15 Jan 2017So true.
We want REAL Nokia , not another chinese phone with Nokia logo attached. You're falling behind.. This is as real Nokia as it can be.. It is designed by HMD which is composed of ex-Nokia executives.. It is manufactured by Foxconn plant that is bought from Microsoft which is originally Nokia's.. In short
NOKIA badge + HMD (ex-Nokia exec) design + Foxconn (ex-Nokia plant) manufacturing = A true NOKIA ANDROID
The simple answer is: depends on the value proposition. If people can adopt new brands like Xiaomi and OnePlus, I cant see why not Nokia.
But if the question is: would people buy an uncompetitive phone for the brand name, then I don't think Nokia can win with this strategy.
1. High end camera is not possible, because of the lack of expertise and experience in current Nokia
2. High end configuration is welcome, but it would be over my budget. I am not even interested in any current flagship from Xiaomi or Oneplus.
3. I am not really liking this phone even apart from the specs, its construction is similar to other chinese mobiles. Still waiting for a good review about the build quality though.
4. I cant get off the hype train, because yet another manufacturer with a different mindset and strategy is always welcome and Nokia can really do some good things to differentiate itself from the market.
So none of the options for me. But I am waiting for a Polycarbonate unibody phone which only Nokia can give :-)
By the way is there any way to find phone without metal or glass back in GSMArena or anywhere?
I literally found out that Nokia was coming back 1 day after I got a new phone, but my next one will be.
Aw.. even gsmarena killing this phone.. i still wait for the review.. sd430 enough to manage any adroid software.. quadcore mtk 1.3 ghz with mali400 run most of the apps as i was own local branf cherrymobile touch xl2.. it depends on how the os optimized..
kingxperia, 15 Jan 2017please if I may ask, what exactly is "SLOW" about SD 430 ?? I am using the new Gionee f103 pro... moreIf you knew anything, you first of all knew that cores don't matter for real life performance. You're just dragging down some uninteresting specs. Mali 720MP2? Really? MP2??? This would fit into a phone for $ 50. And it doesn't have 2gb ram, it has 3gb but most probably some cheap DDR3 733MHz outdated one without any software optimization from this unreliable chea Chinese ripoff machine. They scammed you, iPhone 4 is much better than this, and you can get it for less than $ 50 on eBay. Just buy an iPhone or if you want to stick to Chinese android, buy Xiaomi or OnePlus who are Chinese but still reliable and have better bang for the buck.
All options. 1st, I want off the Nokia hype train, but can't. second, I'll wait for a flagship with a faster chipset (and this is most obvious and possible thing). 3)But even if I get one, and then Nokia launches a top notch camera flagship (which is very unlikely because all the camera expertise is not with Nokia anymore neither the budget to invest in R&D of a niche product) then, 4)I'll get it in a heat beat.
