I have used the Wileyfox 2X for the past 5 months, replaced my samsung galaxy s7 edge. The phone is great, screen is great, camera is great. No noticeable difference from the extremely expensive s7, except that I now run a way more secure version of the OS (updates are awesome). There's no waiting 2-3 years for samsung / the mno to finally! update the image via OTP. I'm not a gamer, and I am guessing that this is why I don't notice any CPU lag -- everything is perfect. No issues whatsoever. I've just bought one for my father as well -- the price and value is unbeatable.
Such a pity that GSMArena somehow ignores it.

I bought the original Wileyfox Swift in May 2016 and it was great for about 3-4 months. Since then the battery life has fallen off and is nowhere to be seen. It wears out about twice a day with medium usage, and uninstalling the OS updates to the original version hasn't fixed this, nor has reinstalling them again. Not sure why I expected more from a cheap phone.

For those that are interested, I've recently been in contact with Wileyfox and have the latest word on the Nougat update. It's been pulled again for 4-6 weeks (from 27 March) to fix what they define as minor issues with the build, and they will push it when they are confident. I did push them on what form it would take, and they are now telling me it will be stock. Time will tell...

I've owned both the G4+ and the 2X. Both are flawed. I agree that Lenovo has run the Motorola brand into the floor, and whilst it does now run 7.0 (in the UK), its taken months to arrive, where as under Google's ownership you would have had it by the end of last year.
I'd be inclined to pick the Wileyfox, its far better made, and assuming they get the update to 7.1.1 right, I'm far more inclined to think the handset will be supported long term. Just bear in mind that it's only got a Snapdragon 430 driving it, and it can be a bit laggy.

Gino76, 04 Feb 2017Between the Swift 2X and the Moto G4 speaking on specs alone which guys would you recommend? With the Cyanogen OS dead in the water, I'd take the Moto G4+ instead. Although Moto is almost as dead, now that Lenovo is driving most of the brand into the ground....

I own a G4+ and on the upside it has full android support, running 7.0 now!

There isn't much detriment to having a "dead" OS other than lack of updates, which many phones don't get anyways. And you can always flash a new OS. Somehow I doubt a phone that comes with Cy is hard to do that to.

Running on Cyanogen OS? That OS has been dead. Why they using a dead OS? UK developer havent got the news yet? They shut down last day of 2016. It is supposed to be replaced with Lineage OS now. The idiot buying this Wiley phone gonna regret it. £200+ on top of all that? Lol. Good luck selling an unknown brand running on dead OS with an overpriced price tag.
