I hope that no one need super expensive special glasses to use such smartphone.
I do wonder how long the battery will last with a tegra chipset...
I'd hate to have to charge my smartphone even more often just cause of 3D stuff...
I mean 3D is fine, but first they have to invent some better batteries :P
Anonymous, 01 Feb 2011I dunno what u guys r gettin excited about...just wait until June...iPhone 3D...mark my word!Iphone 3D??? Yeah sure...that is unable to make a call...hahahahahaha!
funny thing is japan has had this available for a few years now so this talk of "into the new" is ludacris. the first wave of new tech are usually uninspiring so will wait for 2 or 3rd generation of this tech
Excellent

Andrew, 01 Feb 2011When apple will reveal iphone 5, I bet, they will tell that iphone 5 is first 3D mobile phone,... moreYou are Wrong... Alcatel ONE TOUCH in 1997 was a regular phone without touch screen (touch name was only for marketing purpose) the real touchscreen history is this:
In 1971, the first "touch sensor" was developed by Doctor Sam Hurst (founder of Elographics) while he was an instructor at the University of Kentucky. This sensor called the "Elograph" was patented by The University of Kentucky Research Foundation. The "Elograph" was not transparent like modern touch screens, however, it was a significant milestone in touch screen technology.
In 1974, the first true touch screen incorporating a transparent surface came on the scene developed by Sam Hurst and Elographics. In 1977, Elographics developed and patented five-wire resistive technology, the most popular touch screen technology. That was first introduced in a phone to the market with The IBM Simon in 1993.
After a poor last year, LG are coming out all-guns-blazing.
3d is grose and makes you dizzy
actually even Spark Mobiles launched a dual-lens 3D cam...!!
Bt LGs product ll b way better than it!!
This is a pretty cool device I'll give it that, but I don't see how practical this will be. 3D tech is still kind of in it's early phases and they screen types are different from traditional screens. Especially the type that's going to be used for this and the Nintendo 3DS, it'll be very similar tech. 3D cameras are cool for 3D capable displays, which most people don't have either, now 3D video recording would be pretty sweet on this thing, but still it all boils down to the same thing. We're not gonna see a massive tide of 3D Apps for Androids any time soon because this is the only thing out there with it. I'm just not totally sold on it yet I suppose. I don't see this as some massive game changer nor do I see this is being a trend setter later either. SE or maybe HTC (Big maybe) might take a stab at it too, but I wouldn't be surprised if it dies off.
I'm definitely not hating on the thing nor LG it's amazing innovation on their part, but I just don't think 3D is that mainstream enough, nor cheap enough, to have it on a cell phone. It'll be interesting to see the full reviews. Personally, I think I'll just stick with the normal dual core version instead.
i understand some of the complainer regarding Nokia prpducts that they are no longer satisfied with what they buy. If you want a genuine nokia you must buy it when it is new release for the are still original of you buy it after the price will drop down then you will be having a big headache, bcoz what you are buying is just an imitation already unlike lg,samsung.ericsson they cannot be copied.so nokia products where mostly copied that is on they shelves ,lg has more sharper when it comes to photo same with ericsson but nokia is blurred as i have experienced it for myself.
That's innovation! I don't expect it to be wonderfull, pioneer devices never are, but still...
I wonder what will be the price of it. Tow lenses instead of one and all the calculations involved...
I don't think it will take those picures in a blink of the eye. Will there be a way to verify it's quality with our non 3d monitors?
Anonymous, 01 Feb 2011This is stupid. I bet that at 90% of the time ,you won't be able to utilize the 3d screenYes, but I bet that on the other phones, you won't be able to use the 3D screen like... 100 percent of the time :p
Droid. It's interesting, but the design lacks all originality.
with 3d camera as well??!!! mamma mia! that's something u won't probbaly see with othe devices for a while! lg came with a real band this time!
Nokia with MeeGo 12 MPix camera with video stabilization and optical zoom will kick ass Android phones
a serious contender for my next phone this year, will wait to see what the reviews say first but its exciting. As for there not being much 3d content,no doubt developers already have the tools to use 3d in android games,Lg will no doubt have software to display your 2d movies in 3d on the screen
Anonymous, 01 Feb 2011This is stupid. I bet that at 90% of the time ,you won't be able to utilize the 3d screenLoool , really!!!!90%.....
why do u say that, did u try it yet to jump on for conclousions?
