I have several sony ericsson I don't feel like a victim. More like a privileged costumer that is. Privileged for having a great phones, with excellent reliability and battery operation times, very simple to use and great costumer care. Everything in my mobiles works fine.
Can't say the same about my Nokia (never getting updates and when it finally gets them, the problems continue...), my friends LG which never get their android updates has they should or my friends with samsung Omnias which are too much «smart» but too less «phone» and crappy to use on day to day bases.
