Seriously why does news about Nokia always bring Absurd Android-only Fanboy Bashers in? Also, every article about anything Nokia related always turns into a OS war.
Seriously, Android-only fanboys, stop being so annoying, we all know Android is a nice OS but Meego is looking like some stiff competition and it will be able to run All Android apps so really the only thing Android has over Meego is Live Wallpapers. So just give it a rest.
Nokia-only fanboys, quit bashing Android as well, Android broke ground in smartphones as far as the need for a fresh new OS. They started off REALLY shaky with the G1, and continued to struggle up until Verizon announced the Droid. Once the Droid launched, it pretty much raised the bar as far as smartphones. Android and Meego are both really good OS'es.
I'm jumping on the Meego Bandwagon because I've seen some of how they are planning to implement it with lots of devices (Phones, Cars, Tablets, Computers, Mall Kiosks, TV's etc) but Android has been going strong for a while now and to deny them that is just blantant foolishness.
Competition is a GOOD thing and I welcome Meego and any other OS that tries to get in the market.

what a device that's if nokia builds it. i have been a die hard fan of nokia ever since i got my first phone in 1997 and for the pass four years nokia have none nothing to keep there fans coming for there next device... i am know the owner of a motorola defy and i must say motorola has made a great come back. because i hated motorola phones.... i am waiting like the rest you celluar fanactics out there....

Could it be the 1.6 Ghz Medfield chip in this device? Wow, if so, I cannot wait for their event on the 14th. 2011 is the year of MeeGo and Android. =D

Hmm! Possibly an intel atom Medfield SOC 1.6ghz chip processor. Much better than Moorestone SOC processor when it comes to power managment.

yes nokia common launch it with meego u really need to stop symbian on ur flagship devices its too boring m a regular nokia buyer but n95 ws my last device and i shifted to samsung omnia now launch ds with meego and 12 megapixel not 8 or 5 i wanna shift back to nokia if u do so wd d specs price doesnt matter

i've used meego 1.2 on a netbook and it makes windows7 mini look like crap in terms of battery
8 hours on full and still uses less RAM and power then windows itself

I am deeply interested, not locked down like iphone, can run android (if its as free as N900), can triple boot Android, Maemo and Meego, made in Finland (probably). And Nokia quality. This might be my new phone :)

Can't wait for this phone! I've had the n95 for 4 years and have been extremely happy with it but its time to move on to something better! Can't wait for MWC!
