Not a fan of Symbian, have a good DHD, but still have 2 Dfend the Finns. Once they said they would release many updates 4 their phones, but
in 1 time, not like other companies, thatz it.

It saves you time to boot up your pc.. and there won't be annoying message like 'unable to display content'.. And you don't need to download apps like -internet radio for example cause you can listen right away.. And don't have to pay or jailbreak anything just to play simple games like bejeweled blitz..
"office editing for the N8" is a big thing for some user I'm sure
The N8 update will come soon next week. But within 2 months you will see something far bigger. Browser included........
[deleted post]To be honest, they bash more than Nokia. They are usually very fair.
More than three months people have been waiting for an update, and this is all Nokia offer? Nokia owners always pay a high price for brand loyalty.
[deleted post]I think right the opposite, I guess GSMArena only want Symbian to get better very soon. Just like me.
C'mon nokia please for god sake improve text input, it sucks!!
[deleted post]And you reture no argument, just anti Fruit Bile. Come on then, give me a good reason why Flash Is essential on my 'cheap' phone?
[deleted post]So come on. Give me a good use for Flash in a web browser, that Java alone cannot emulate?
All these Apple haters harp on about how amazing Flash is, but offer no reason to do so. All I see on the internet are games, most of which, aren't even as good as the FREE games offered at the App Store.
Anonymous, 04 Feb 2011Thank you. Ahh, also dont forget to inform rather than buy iphone 4 buy only ipod touch 4th ge... moreiphone 4 just have a good sensor and smooth touch and nothing else , but nokia n8 has better bluetooth, wifi, camera, video, card slot so if you have n8 so there is on need for iphone 4 thanks
Please dont think that this is advertisement
Unionjackjackson, 04 Feb 2011Updaters are saying this update improves smoothness and stability and the OS is much quicker.... moreNokia on the up?
Have you been living under a rock? Nokia has gone from 65% Market share to 30% in 4 years!
Could you PLEASE be positive for one time, gsmarena? I'm very pleased that Nokia at least provides updates for my phone. Much better than Samsung, who did'nt provide updates for my Omnia. Or Google/SE, who messed up the software of my wife's X10 with the last update.
Lot of bitchin around here.....intrenet brings us together so one must endure all the stupidity there is....
I think that the N8 is one of the most well balanced phones atm. I'm very happy with mine.
No update in Norway!
Heard rumors that update is first released for C7 and C6-01, and then N8 a bit after…
N8 rocks! Who needs all those crap aps for iPhone/Android?
nokia n8 is realy good but it need some update in keypad, web browsing, and some other features.and the update is also need in old n8 by internet
I'm just going to stop reading the comments on any Nokia related news. They are alwalys the same thing. Android fanboys bashing Nokia and OS Flamewars. Absolutely NOTHING incitive or with reason. Go out and live a little. If you're at work, DO SOME WORK and GET OFF THIS SITE!!!
why does it take such a long time for big research group like nokia to bring out an overhauled web browser? nokia R.I.P
Yea what happened to that promised browser update and the revamped ui?..
Even Microsoft promised a big update but no.
Perhaps MWC is the reason
I'll stick with my Safari browser I think. No Flash.
Who actually thinks Flash is useful nowadays anyway? Those that promote it on their phones are likely only using it for Flash video pornography!
AnonD-411, 04 Feb 2011Why doesn't Nokia use Android?1. They don't have to - Adroid doesn't offer anything more than Symbian.
2. They don't wan't to be depended on another company. If Google decides to charge for future Adroids what will Moto, SE, LG will do? They don't have an alternative. If Google decides to pull the plug, they are doomed. Why would Nokia want, Google to have them by the balls?
3. They don't wan't to get the fragmentation that Google's updates create. Cause if you don't update you don't get the new stuff. You update when Google wants to, of course.
4. They can lead the experience anywhere they want, with their own platform. They are free to be creative and innovative, not depending by what someone else has decided. This way they can differentiate themselfs from everybody else, which is the ONLY way to stand out.
5. Keeping both Adroid and Symbian would be a disaster for the resources of their RD department.
Nokia has made the right decision for it's future. Others, less resourcefull companies couldn't do the same...
