For symbian users, check out the nokia bubbles app in nokia beta labs....
Very inovative, perhaps meego style functionality to your sym3 device...

[deleted post]Believe it when I see it, so many devices in the past Gizmondo, or whatever it was called, never got its software update, will Nokia still be around to provide software updates? Having just had an N8 go dead, the WON'T TURN BACK ON, syndrome that the customers 'imagine'!
It seems that when the phone connects to ovi for message config it DIES, I do believe a MUCH more important update is needed, Android maybe!!

In 2011 Symbian^3 is no more. Meet the new OS from Nokia - Sybmbian^3!
        Please fix typo :)

Surely minor update might be better than no update at all, but I'd prefer single performance update over hundreds of minor updates that don't bring me anything new.

when it comes to updates, you can never rely on nokia or you shouldn't. I think aPPLE, Sony, and samsung will do.

But, the thing is. Symbian is a perfect OS, they don't need to release an update that will change everything, only bugs should be fix.

                            of course, it's 1.1. Not 2.0 or 3.0.

                            i thought i stumbled upon gizmodo/engadget.

Anonymous, 04 Feb 2011nokia is still number one. why?? i expect logical reasons, not frustated teenagerslogical reasons??? oh plzzzz what's the logic in keeping us from advancements?

we supported Nokia in a hope they provide better products and services but the company failed to do that!

remember how ovi 'still' holds very few apps compared to other alternatives!
remember how ovi provides some apps/games as 'regional based' that's country-specific for some software products
remember how much problems people faced with latest Nokia products

they're very very late in everything and MeeGo will not help them before at least a year from its release when it gets mature after many updates.

TBH, I was a big fan of Nokia and I was a hard Nokian from 10 years NEVER used anything else other than Nokia, but this year other alternatives took my attention (I won't mention which products as I'm not a fan of any brand)

N8 has been playing around for more than 8 months.. Still nokia is not able to do a major update.. Too bad.. nokia wont learn.
This the right time to use android in Nokia for at least some time until they make other platform like mego ,
Nokia is going to lose a major share in india as the motorola and samsung pumping cheap android devices..
Nokia can change the way americans see mobiles if they pump some good fully unlocked android phones.. There is not a single gsm android phone in USA with front camera,780p and neon flash and thering that doesnt require operators approval. All the android phones are crippled. google phones are not powerful in areas like camera and Hdmi. Here there lies the potential of Nokia Android phones..
Atleast for another 3 years the game will be played by android.. Why cant Nokia make SYMBIAN . Windows and android phones :) if so no one can beat nokia..
