It's ridiculous to omit it, a camera on a mobile device like a phone is pretty much useless without AF.
its touch screen like Nokia X3-02 touch & type
Hon, 07 Feb 2011It looks like e5, and probably its successor. Yeah, could be E5-01. Nokia often changes the name between prototypes and announcement. 2.6" VGA screen also does not make much sense, unless you want to play the Apple game, that is. It would give about 310 ppi, which would be excessive. If it really has a VGA screen, the screen size must be at least 2.8".

Or if it is, how long wil n0kia hold on to this e63-e72 looks.,
Oh, and the other Touch and Types don't have D-Pads. Weak chances of touchscreen then?
Vlad, 07 Feb 2011my n85 has that lock slider too, and an ambient light sensor at top, and is not a touchscreen:)same at N81 :)

I'm one of those guys who is a big fun of Nokia E-Series. Unfortunately, if the camera lacks autofocus I shall turn towards other phone manufacturer, and frankly I don't think I'm the only one. It is unconceivable how in 2011 phones lack autofocus when this function has been around over 4 or 5 years now. Is it such a big money saver? Most users searching a phone in E-Series price range would definitely pay a few bucks more for autofocus. It's ridiculous.
I am sure it will look MUCH better once the press shots are released!
Symbian ^3 on such a small screen???! I dont think so, it is barely usuable on a 3.5 inch screen!
I hope this isn't the successor to the E72....Because it doesn't seem much of an improvement in, terms of design.
there are a few issues with this running symbian 3. how is the thing going to run all the touch designed apps. there will be compatibility issues. i feel nokia should upgrade their symbian non touch experience by probably designing a new symbian os to cater for the non touch market presumably an upgraged s60 3rd edition. or maybe this is a photoshopped image
2toyzki, 07 Feb 2011it is most probably a touch-and-type type of symbian because traditional left and right soft k... moreGood observation. also note that at the top of the screen is something which looks like a proximity sensor - something that is a part of touch screen phones.
it doesn't matter whether it is touch or type because I will not purchase it. It is out-dated Symbian phone.
it looks like a c3
sorry nokia...its sooooooooooooooo ugly
at the right side = lock slide
meanwhile, elop de-FINNISH-es the company.
Ofcourse it's a photoshop.
The part below keyboard is just missunderstanding.
Too fat and plastic for the business phone.
Not nice.
