AnonD-424566, 24 Jan 2017Plenty of fools with excess money will buy this just to make a point no doubt! Well they have a lot of services, like the concierge support which i wish i had.Plus they will give you access to celebrities,You can book a place in Ceremonies like oscar and other awards. The main benefit of this is in case of any natural calamity or danger you will be escorted out of danger in luxury etc etc
Does it come with a matching Shih Tzu puppy for the wealthy female owner to rest on her left arm? :)

Thanks for your quick Wikipedia rundown buy you missed the most important part. The criticism of Vertu: Vertu phones have been described as "tasteless trash" by Wired Magazine and "technologically modest" by the Financial Times.
The virtual butler maybe a good thing for those people who have nothing better to do. Rich people tend to stay that way though.
So my question is why would I pay up to some $40000 for a phone which probably costs a fortune to replace a battery when it's expired, That it's technology is not "High End" and will no doubt depreciate in value at probably something $500 a month?
For that sort of money I would expect something looking like a piece of art!
Very cheap.. I'll buy one each for my cook .driver. housekeeper. Gardner.. and grocer as well ... cheap very cheap 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
AnonD-308243, 25 Jan 2017out of curiosity has gsmarena ever reviewed a vertue phone before?Yes, they actually almost fought on who gets to keep the phone and made a big meeting. Since then(2009) no Vertu ever reviewed ever again. Here's one and only review by gsmarena of the Vertu brand.
"If you find insanely overpriced featureless handsets a complete waste of time and human effort you better stop reading right now. But if you recognize the limited-edition handcrafted diamond-encrusted models as a form of artistic expression then you might be informed and entertained. Oh, and feel free to be shocked. Even our hardened geek hearts couldn't help but skip a beat when we handled those 40,000 dollar pieces.
No one buys these handsets for their functionality, user-friendly interface or great reception. In fact, no one buys these handsets is where every right-thinking person would've stopped. But no sir, these things do sell, be it with just one purpose: to flaunt just how much you have. By the way, a certain group of users may find this review particularly upsetting. Nokia Arte, Motorola Aura or Samsung Ego owners seem to like feeling superior to the rest of the crowd, but they are going to look like poverty-stricken cheapskates next to the heavy hitters we are about to review.
The phones in this review are all of the love-it-or-hate it type. None of these could ever be called a sensible purchase, but the surprising number of boutique handsets available does suggest there is demand, even in these economically tough times. So who are we to judge if the money could be better spent elsewhere when the users end up happy and wanting more?"

AnonD-404798, 24 Jan 2017it's gonna be cheap as usual , only $5,999 !You paying for the hand-crafted labor, 24hour concierge service and the global iPass wifi network. Oh, dont forget your normal phone(iphone, galaxy, xiaomi, huawei) not made from 140 carat 6th generation sapphire crystal or having an inset ruby diamond button on the side or even the luxury leather from Italy. Its like you eating with a stainless steel spoon while wealthy rich people eating with gold spoon.
AnonD-558092, 25 Jan 2017Gaming on that thing, AKA wasting your money while wasting your time.Rich people dont have time to play games on phone. Do you ever see Queen Elizabeth playing games on phone?

People buy Vertu for its concierge services, not to follow up on specifications trend...
Its frustrates me, as a Vertu user, when people start to compare specs... Kids should just play at their own playground...
