"can you imagine how compact a 5.1” S8 will be with these new super slim bezels"
About the same in size as S8. Bezels didn't change much, the screen proportions changed. If you keep old proportions, you can't get much smaller than S7. If you make it longer, real device size could be similar to 4.7 inch Galaxy Alpha. Which I loved but didn't buy because it didn't have FHD screen resolution... and it had a so-so camera, which didn't help either.
i think the outcome will depend on the overall size of the phones .... since bezels are really smaller so the 6"+ phone might feel like a current 5.7" phone
Please don't put on backside fingerprint button
Otherwise phone looking osm
AnonD-639587, 29 Jan 2017Or they can make any phone they want and any size they want knowing the 85% of their customers... moreI agree that are people that will buy anythink because is well promoted , but they are no more 30% of customers . For exemple if you are a skinny guy who has money why will you buy a s7 edge ?
Note/S Pen Person, 29 Jan 2017If you prefer a 5.1 > 5.5 screen... then there's a lot of choices out there... if a person ... moremore than 5,1 is to big ,you can see the s7 edge that was awfull giant phone, the price of the phone will not matter if it will have the highest specs on the market and will come in more sizes for every tipe of customers
[deleted post]sorry i mean those whining about the larger screen sizes
Increasing the screen size without dramatically increasing the phone size is a big plus.
Increasing the Battery capacity without dramatically increasing the bulk is also a big plus.
But S-pen is a must for me.
If s8 plus not provided with spen why i would buy it
Even if it is bigger than note 7 or 8
Spen is the only feature make me stuck with samsung
But the S8 plus *is* smaller than 6 inchers. It's as "small" as Note 4 ... so the title *has to* be wrong (both phones are smaller than 6 inchers (as they were up until now). Did you miss the memo? Bezeless means far smaller phone than what the screen size implies...
Anonymous, 29 Jan 2017No note 8 , thats what the plus is. Samsung has stated that because of the Note 7 issues they ... morestop spreading nonsense info to others... before you start barking read this first http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_note_8_still_coming_mobile_chief_confirms-news-22923.php
I'll give a sigh of relief if Samsung finally start using stereo type dual speakers.
Would have bought the S8+ in a heart beat if I knew they would replace the phone or full refund for any battery or screen problems & if they had solved TouchWiz lag & if it had decent front facing speakers & if they didn't think I was stupid enough to pay $1000.00 to be their guinea pig. So I guess this means that I'm still not buying from Samsung.
If you prefer a 5.1 > 5.5 screen... then there's a lot of choices out there... if a person can AFFORD the 5.*> 6.2 screen...then let us have the huge screen...regardless if its constantly being use or not...the point is, IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT...AND YOU LIKE IT, THEN GET IT... and i will have it.
viki, 29 Jan 2017will wait for note 8 ....this samsung rock the market with note 8 No note 8 , thats what the plus is. Samsung has stated that because of the Note 7 issues they are dropping the note and calling it the plus.
