ithehappy, 30 Jan 2017Jio did what nobody thought one would ever do, especially in India. In my calculation Jio has ... moreAirtel, idea and Vodafone did the same tricks with Reliance communications many years ago. The regulator had to draft new policies and the time taken cost RCom very dearly.
This time the regulators were ready having experience of past events. So swift action was taken to protect Jio and it's customers.
Know the past.... There are 3 carriers who are bent on forming cartel and monopolising. Only Jio broke this....
Paulw, 31 Jan 2017Buy out you main competitor and the profits will roll back..Vodafone doesn't have enough money to buy Reliance jio.In fact even if whole telecom companies make contributions, they won't have enough money.
Very bad for india, how much money will go outside, wrong decision by idea
Anonymous, 30 Jan 2017So idea will become voda or voda will become idea? Any idea? No idea...so get an idea.... :) Lol cant belive that "I" just gave ideas ad.nice comment btw ...LOL Anyways For me jio is just a added advantage in night time and is a way to use my dual sim otherwise i mainly use my old cheap 3g data plans cause in the daytime mostly the jio speed sucks...my old 3g plan is much more faster than jio in daytime...the real test of jio will be after it becomes paid and not everyone is leeching on there network to use the data.
So idea will become voda or voda will become idea?
Any idea? No idea...
Anonymous, 30 Jan 2017The robbers are teaming up!Haha, let's see how much worse ad they can make.
FYI Jio is offering free data till 31st March 2017.
Vodafone and other networks have had a major drop in business because of Jio.
Nowdays majority of people are making free calls with Jio.
With VoLTE based fixed Monthly charges for calls (Receiving and Making) and ZERO Roaming charges, there is nothing much Mobile operators can do in India. JIO is no fool, it is giving free data and eventually, it will make tons of money when they rollout the plans where each person in a family will pay Minimum of Rs 400 - Rs 600.....Right now average revenue per user is less than Rs 140 - Rs 200 for most of the operators(Yet, they were making tons of profits)
ithehappy, 30 Jan 2017Jio did what nobody thought one would ever do, especially in India. In my calculation Jio has ... moreMore than 75% of people of who are currently using Jio is only for the free data. The calls from & to Jio network is still patchy and not reliable. Whatever plans Jio published so far are not cheap and are pretty close to existing players..
Jio offered free data & free calls only to disturb the existing players ( not for a digitally advanced India ) and they succeeded in that . Thats why we are hearing merger news like Airtel & Aircel and now Idea & Vodafone..
A clear picture will be out after March 31, when Jio stops the free offer. Telecom regulatory already amended the rules to accommodate Jio's 2nd set of free offer ( 1st from Sept - Dec & 2nd from Jan - March ). Initially the rule limited any free offer to 90 days and now its modified for 365 days. Thanks to the clout Reliance is having on current government.
ithehappy, 30 Jan 2017Jio did what nobody thought one would ever do, especially in India. In my calculation Jio has ... moreFor me "Idea" was always best in terms of service and coverage specially in Maharashtra. Idea ka one of the best service provider for postpaid
ithehappy, 30 Jan 2017Jio did what nobody thought one would ever do, especially in India. In my calculation Jio has ... moreyeah .....and those advancements can ve seen on the youtube trending page....pornokind of stuff is getting trending now.lol
Jio did what nobody thought one would ever do, especially in India. In my calculation Jio has made India to advance by as much as five years, if not more. Now let's see whether or not they wanna keep making improvement and help us advance even more. Cause before Jio India was one of the worst for internet plans, now its still extremely bad, but not to that extent.
I don't know what is Vodafone's plan to merge with Idea anyway, Idea was never a major carrier in India like Airtel. Probably to make up some losses happened due to Jio situation? Don't know. Airtel, Idea, Vodafone, they all did a very filthy trick to stop Jio from widely spreading (not opening their channels for calls to go through for Jio customers), but failed. I had admiration for Vodafone, cause they have superb reception, but these cheap ploys have made me to think otherwise, still a Vodafone customer mainly, but only time will tell for how long.
