Same foolish megapixel race, better a 6 megapixel with good result in low light conditions.A good camera has a density of 2mpx/cm sq, this sensor ~80mpx/cm sq .About Apple, they didn't design any cameraphone sensor.
AnonD-125, 10 Feb 2011WOW ! this is impressive! that's right, samsung is always copying the others! but it is coming... moreSamsung is not coming out with the best...
Sony camera modules which have been developed a long time ago r far......... better than these.
Accept it or not- 'samsung just lost this camera battle'
The 8mpx camera module of Sony is already available in SE Arc & SE Neo/halon...
WOW ! this is impressive! that's right, samsung is always copying the others! but it is coming with the best always! just hope that the samsung galaxy s2 will contain this 8mp! :D go go sammy!
AnonD-619, 10 Feb 2011lol....as usual always after apple apple creates innovation nd the rest follows.. but SE ann... moreapple dint innovate nothing, they get other companies to manufacture and create stuff for dem like the apple a4 processor made by samsung, iphone 4 camera by sony ericsson. apple only cons ppl and rips dem off, apple earphones r da crappest earphones, in terms of quality of sound,dn dey sell dem for £60 lol nw dats a rip off
N8 will remain the best camera phone until Nokia makes better one.
Samsung just keeps on copying others...
Now they r copying Sony which has already made these camera modules a long time ago & sony's camera modules r upto 16 mpx.
Samsung name in the history will be remembered as a company which never did anything with it's own unique ideas but always kept on copying & following others.
Hmm great! But it will take 2-3 more years for Apple to rich the 12MP in their phones. May be they'll buy it from samsung as they bought the Iphone 4's 1 GHz CPU?
AnonD-538, 10 Feb 20111/3.2"?! Man that's puny! 12 megapixels?! Geez, looks like these guys didn't get the memo... more1/3.2" is indeed tiny, but with the current fashion of ever thinner and thinner phones anything larger is pretty much out of the picture. The lens takes more space with larger sensors. I suppose this means that the camera manufacturers can breath a little easier, because a clear quality difference between standalone digicams and phone cameras is going to remain in the foreseeable future. On the other hand for many people the difference is not that significant, because their images are posted at FB in small resolutions.
AnonD-619, 10 Feb 2011lol....as usual always after apple apple creates innovation nd the rest follows.. but SE ann... more@leane, Yeah, both them Sony ones are backlit
AnonD-619, 10 Feb 2011lol....as usual always after apple
apple creates innovation nd the rest follows..
but SE ann... moreExactly what did Apple innovate?? The use of a sensor that too small? Plausible but I think there were others that failed with too small sensors before Apple failed with theirs.
Or are you thinking of something else? Please enlighten me. I cannot come to think a single hardware innovation from Apple's Iphone that others haven't done years before.
1/3.2"?! Man that's puny! 12 megapixels?! Geez, looks like these guys didn't get the memo: the megapixel race is over for crying out loud!
Instead of trumpeting megapixels, why not increase sensor size and brag about it? "New Samsung XXXX with 1/1.6" (Lumix LX-5) sensor!"
lol....as usual always after apple
apple creates innovation nd the rest follows..
but SE announced 12.1mp nd even 14.1mp sensors waaaay back not sure though they had backlit...
Excellent!!!
Full HD @ 60fps and HD @ 90fps are too awesome...
There's no hurry to use these in Mobiles. The Megapixel race was won by the Pixon. Now we just need better quality lenses. There's no point in going for the 14mp.
Oh yeah .
Go sammy go . you are the best .
1/3.2" is too small, that will cause inaccurate colors and noisy pictures
When coming new 12mp camera model in the world, what is much more better, what Nokia N8 (and much, much more better what Samsung M8910 Pixon12)?.
