what kind of this reporting???
just see the result of total year..there is a huge difference, that apple not even close to that figure...lolz...
Note7 owner, 01 Feb 2017Samsung will be back on top with its new legions of explosives.... ;) OMG! I was dying for your valuable comment.
Yeah take into account the Note 7, Samsung would have beaten Apple clearly in the 4th. But overall did better over the year. Samsung are just way more diverse and they can be with their products. Apple wants to stick to it's premium only level. The 5c was as long as they've gone for a phone. They have the consumer base to make up for the lack of diversification. Instead of buying a cheap phone, Apple customers 99% will buy the high end iPhone no matter what. Strong brand. But Samsung are ahead.
Oh enough already with this
Who cares
Thats just for the last quarter, if you look at the whole years sales Samsung was Number 1.
If it wasnt for the Note 7 issue then Samsung would have probably beaten Apple in quarter 4 too.
For all of 2016, Samsung was on top with a 20.8% market share of the global smartphone market. Apple was second with 14.5%. In third was Huawei with a 9.3% share. Oppo and Vivo finished fourth and fifth with 5.7% and 4.8% of the market, respectively. During the 12 months of the year, global smartphone shipments rose by 3% to reach 1.5 billion units. Strategy Analytics said that strong demand for smartphones in China and Africa provided the backdrop for steadier shipping numbers for the industry.
Misleading comment. Q4'16 apple is top smartphone manufacturer but overall 2016 Samsung ships more. Am I seeing right?
It will go to back to 2nd, post S8 and Note 8.
