You know, although this may suck for us as customers, just think of the poor Nokia employees...

You can easily create Qt apps to run on a Windows computer so why will they not allow this on a WP7 device, or am I missing something? Nokia should push for this to allow developers to port their apps easily.

Nokia! What have you done! This was the last thing to expect! Windows Mobile has been a big flop in the industry since ages! Why did you opt it? Why not android? If nokia ever collaborated with android...Apple would go down the drain. This is really dissapointing! Really! I was a nokia fan but this has crossed all borders.

Good to see the MS & Nokia Collaboration........atleast symbian development would go on easily now......and as a phone maker Nokia is undoubtedly the best.......happy and very hopeful now and I do admit if Nokia had acted earlier this could have been done away with....right now for the largest manufacturer of phones this was required or else the situation would have been very very worse........cheers to Nokia and WP7!!

I think that the best way to go in this situation for NOKIA was to release one android based phone without any manufacturer branding like "motorola blur" and etc, which need no rooting for update and custom roms. There are alot of user awaiting good hardware and "realtime updatable" android ...

By the way the sound quality of the nokia phones is the worst as if their sound comes out from tins.

Biggest mistake Nokia ever made was to hire this American clown names Elop, a former Microsoft executive. What the hell will make a Nokia great if it has WP7 on it? Same shit OS without any customizations that you can get from any manufacturer that makes WP7 phones.

Of course the best choice for a 3rd party OS would be Android, as it is the worlds most successful mobile OS and has bought great profits to failing companies like Motorola, but that was never going to happen with a former Microsoft exec in charge of Nokia.

Too bad Nokia never bothered to go with Meego and develop it, could have been great.

they triyng to do something like Samsung did - 3 OS(Android - primary,Bada and WP7 secondary) , but in this case WP7 will be the primary and MeeGo & Symbian will have a secondary status.
I think MeeGo would be a better choice for primary OS.
