S^1, S^2 S^3, S^4, Meego, Maemo WTF!! Apple are running one OS on both iphone and Ipad and still wooping Nokia's asssss. One word comes to mind "Streamline" Nokia just to not know how to streamline and that's all they ever needed to do. Pick the strongest OS and do battle with it.

When the iPhone came out there were many there who saw the hardware as appealing but thought the operating system wouldnt catch up with the top competitors. Five years later, the same retards seem to forget Apple was initially more or less in the same position Nokia is in now.
You keep forgetting both are huge corporations with huge budgets. I am currently using Android 2.2 on Galaxy S. Its a very nice phone and the operating system is my favourite so far. However I need to take into account that Windows Mobile 7 is better now than Android or iOS were when they first came out.
No one knows how long the Android bubble will last, whether or not Apple will turn into what Blackberry is now in 2-3 years time..I love Nokia hardware and think WM7 has MASSIVE potential. I would keep an eye on this one.

I disagree that both of them are losers (esp Windows). Nokia would be loser if it wouldn't join with someone who is good in OS. So far Nokia got serious kick in the bollocks from I-phone and android. I would say androids kick was more painful than I phone.
I believe there will be serious outcome because two pc mob phone market representatives join their resources together. Lets fantasize and suddenly that becomes truth.

sorry i will not support WP7,,, Nokia N8 is my last nokia Phone this year... and i will go samsung 2012... goodluck Nokia.. very disappointed decision to adopt WP7 and its a primary OS of Nokia Year 2012... Instead you up in competition, your campany will 100% totally down... Goodbye Nokia Year2012....

all nokias problems arise from one source... crap, cartoony, visually uninspiring graphics and UI,their phones are ugly with small grainy screens.... whilst all the other companies have developed reasonably slick , visually pleasing , sleek simple designs, big screens, impressive graphics and ui....i usedta love nokias by the way, but give me a htc or an iphone anyday over the crud nokia have been producing...
