Ac, 12 Feb 2011Every WP7 phones come with lots of memory and not everybody needs. True multitasking is what A... moreAre you serious about the multitasking of apple being true multitasking? YOU CAN'T BE
not buying wm7 ill stick to Symbian an Meego devices! Nokia is doing the HTC dance they will have Phones for all tastes !! Ill keep my N8 i dont care about eye candy ! i like Good Hardware and the best one is Nokia!!!
There is an old saying in sales : " A satisfied customer may only tell a few people but you can be sure an UN-satisfied customer WILL tell MANY people.
BTW : Anyone out there know how to install Android on the N8 ?? Love the hardware but I don't have the time or the patience to fool around with work -a-rounds on a $ 500 + phone.
These are the Disadvantages of WP7 as given by GSMArena on their WP7 review:
*No system-wide file manager
Limited third-party apps availability
*No Bluetooth file transfers
*No USB mass storage mode
Too dependent on Zune software for computer file management and syncing
*No music player equalisers
*No Flash or Silverlight support in the web browser
*No sign of free Bing maps Navigation so far
No DivX/XviD video support
*No internet tethering support
*New ringtones available only through the Marketplace
*Swapping memory card requires hard reset; cards not readable by computer
Look back at the ones written after "*"s... wasn't these some of the strongest points Nokia and Symbian had over iOS and Android?? And now they are giving it all up.
Very Disappointing move by Nokia
- A former Hardcore Fan of Symbian....Guess its Android all the way now!
Nokia should have bought WebOS in the first place rather than waited years doing nothing to develop a better OS. Their aquisition of Palm would had been be a lot less than the billions of dollars spent in RD to develop Symbian, Meego and Qt. Nokia lost the battle in the smartphone segment by relying on Windows Phone 7. Give us Meego Nokia we waited long enough.
Bad move from Nokia. It would be better if they would join hands with Google's Android. Future is bleak for Nokia.
it's about time nokia got brains! my great grandmother was more original than they were.
big deal, I use a mobile phone with no OS and I enjoy it and it works fine, it has no virus! (caveman has spoken, yeah)
windows 7? I dont need it in my phone, I already use 7 ultimate in my notebook, the features is cool enough for me
*sorry, I'm not so good in english
As a life long Nokia user and supporter, I can say with great pain that the Nokia E7 will be my last Nokia phone.
Funny how an ex Microsoft employee moves Nokia in the direction of Microsoft, whose phone platform is struggling more than Nokia is, "something is rotten in the state of....."
There is still one thing that Symbian at so good at, high quality loudspeaker and audio output! Even my Nokia S40 device is better sounding than most Android!
Anonymous, 12 Feb 2011symbian is nokia heart . nokia never ever leave symbian ... there is one team for symbian . ... moreNooooo ......Nokia is leaving symbian....
They are gradually phasing out symbian phones...
I'm not saying that, The CEO of Nokia said that !!!!!!!
AnonD-1311, 12 Feb 2011microsoft takes over. Buys Nokia for $0.1st trojan horse project success next asian company LoL!! European Union should make new Phone maker company.
this changes everything. Just what Nokia needed - to make a big move. I'm no expert, but so far WP7 devices have looked like clones of one another and Nokia could bring in some variety, while using MS' new OS. Good to hear they're keeping their old systems alive, but this is a surprising new development.
Good luck Nokia, looking forward to some cool new developments!
they have Qt for godsakes. Elop/ballmer avoid Qt/symbian/meego questions like plague.
Y on earth did they do this!
I have always liked nokias and although I have thought of trying out an Ericsson or Apple, I preferred the nokia for various reasons (price being a very important one :-D) but I cant see myself buying a Nokia WP7 phone.
Looks like my next one will either be an Apple, HTC or Sony.

just thinking, 12 Feb 2011It's a true that Nokia and Microsoft failed in the last few years. But, hey, they still are tw... moreSame way as u say about Apple, I can also say that Nokia made one revolution and it wont make one again.
"Two turkeys dont make an eagle"
Poor Anssi Vanjoki (Former Nokia CEO who said that phrase) never thought that 5 years later nokia will be in same position.
