still in gingerbread. never received any os update. useless samsung.
Anonymous, 05 Feb 2017wow, I also had this phone. How do you like it? I hated it, it was torture to use and hold.Sincerely, I also hate it, it's made of low quality fragile plastic and it has scratches all over the back, the screen is mediocre, like the speaker , N wi-fi, cameras, performance,,,but the 8GB of storage kills me...I was forced to make the microsd card as adopted storage through some tricks(because adoptable storage option is dezactivated by Sony naturally)...all in all a disaster, I can't wait to buy the Pixel 2 next winter
My Samsung Galaxy S4 won't get it... :(
IPhone 5 is on the latest IOS release...:)
Android must change and Google must do this move because people don't want to feel like their one\two\three years old phone is not on par with the latest tech.
Google - Learn from Apple!!!
Sony xperia z5 premium user here with nougat, much faster, bolder, better, stronger.right now only sony make a great job with update, but let straight to the point to all mid range phone user from all brand include sony, major update like this are very few mid range will get it,maybe first because the soc that not support the update, and second maybe the company only focus update to their latest flagship and certain high end,so any mid range user that get nougat is very lucky...right me if i wrong
Both of mine should get it soon (A5 2014 and S7) but, you know, Canadian carriers...
We should be able to select multiple options.
My OnePlus 3 got Nougat last year. It's working super faster, even faster than Marshmallow!
My Moto X 2014 won't be getting the Nougat update so I installed a Custom Rom, official Lineage OS rom and it's working like a charm, super smooth and fast and stable, with speeds almost matching my OnePlus 3!
My Nexus 7 2012 won't be getting the Nougat update either, but I don't care for it for that device coz it even slowed down on Android 5, so after dabbling for a while with Cyanogenmod and other custom roms for Android 6 and even Nougat for this device, I rolled it back to a 4.4.4 rom and now it works like a charm again. Some devices were absolutely not made to be updated, case in point the Nexus 7 2012.
And some devices were treated super bad by their manufacturers, case in point, the Moto X 2014 which according to even Snapdragon doesn't "support" Android Nougat for some reason, but it works faster and better than ever on it!
AnonD-39937, 05 Feb 2017Want Android nougat... But My phone (Sony Xperia M4 Aqua) won't have an update after 6.0.1 and... morewow, I also had this phone. How do you like it? I hated it, it was torture to use and hold.
My phone will never see that update because Huawei forgot honor 5c.... its in their least priority list.
I'm with nougat on my Danish exynos s7. Runs faster and more smoothly now, but I'm still not impressed with the battery lifetime. If only s7 active was for Europe too.
Someone Else, 05 Feb 2017I think the REAL poll should be like this, Peter:
1. Already got it ;)
2. Waiting for it :... moreOr make it simple;
1. Love the way apple update (keep pushing update to old device, let cuatomers choose to instal or not).
2. Love the way google update (no update for old device)
Nope, but it always update me to download the new OS of an android however I don't like the Nougat. I don't like its GUI.
