Tophat, 07 Feb 2017From the top tier:
- Mi Mix
- Mi Max
- Mi(x)S Plus
- Redmi ... moreIf you put it that way then someone in the company is addicted to announcing something and someone else can't make up their mind.
Maybe they have PR team that analyzed their hotness level in the web. Based on their finding, they need to announce something every X weeks to get still hot in the masses.
Also, Tophat meet topdawg.

- Redmi(x)S (not yet in 4th gen)
- Redmi(x)X (not yet in 4th gen)

- Redmi Note (x) SD
- Redmi Note (x) X
*(x) determine generation
And each of them have different ram/storage version... That's a lot.
Lack of USB C has held me back from getting the RDN 3 as well as 4, if this comes with it, oh boy!!
The teaser hints that there will be a special version of the phone featuring Hatsune Miku, the '16 year old digital international idol'.
molnarti, 06 Feb 2017i was hoping for a snapdragon powered version with B20 LTE support...There will be an international version of Redmi Note 4 (exact model will be 2016102) which will support the following LTE bands:
LTE FDD Band 1 /Band 3 /Band 4 /Band 5 /Band 7 /Band 8 /Band 20
LTE TDD Band 38 /Band 40
So yes it will support band 20. However the LTE band support and the CPU/GPU performance is worse than Redmi Note 3 (Special Edition) so not so interesting...
If it has SD660, this is something to look forward to. A real successor to Note 3 Snapdragon variant
flubberblast, 06 Feb 2017*SD650/652 uses A72, not A57.It is 4x A72 + 4x A53 to be exact
Please bring it into India Xiaomi. I am yet to purchase a Redmi Note 4 because it is so hard to grab one during a flash sale and if it really is using the SD653, even better because I really don't need the extra battery life with the SD625. I want smoother gameplay from my games.
I don't really get what they are after. Announcing, releasing too many phones. Oh wait... money. Huh!
AnonD-642180, 06 Feb 2017SD625 is actually somewhat better than 653. 625 has more clock speed, better architecture (14n... moreYes is it but 14nm fabrication is not an architecture. It's the diameter of CMOS transistor. The architecture for SD625 is Cortex A53 core which is low power RISC 8 pipeline in order architecture. Compared to SD650 with 2 cores of Cortex A57, 15 pipeline out of order. The Level 2 cache also much larger at 4MB per core. SD625 created for reduce battery consumption but they have to sacrifice the performance. Meanwhile SD650/652/653 for performance but draw much more power than SD625. It's a win-win situation. So, choose yourself which is suitable for your needs. High performance = SD650 series. Battery life = SD625.
Anonymous, 06 Feb 2017so? redmi 4 is same as the 4x. except for the processor. indian version has more efficient... moreprocessing power and better graphics are worth more than an efficient chipset especially when battery life is already stellar with 4,100mAh
