After my lg g3 I got the LG g5 with most of the accessories. I can only say its a super phone with "now"a super price! Now 50% down!!!!!
Never buy a phone on the first day of arrival.
I'm happy with my V20 that I received as my replacement from tmobile & at no extra charge when my G4 went into bootloop. I was extremely shocked when it came. Being a lover of the G series, I with a heavy heart will not purchase the G6. I love having extra batteries at my disposal.
AnonD-234961, 07 Feb 2017This chance is not very good, simply because SD821 chip costs less than SD835.You are assuming that manufatcturers will pass that cost saving on. You obviously have more failth than me in that. I can see 821 based phones from later this year being the same price as the 835 ones. The only saving grace in the first instance is that the S8 and S8 Plus are so overpriced nothing else is likely to match them at this time in terms of price. 821 one based phones from last year will most likely be cheaper as a result of being last generation as well as last years devcies. The phones released this year with the 821 I reckon will be very similar in price to the 835 ones. That is a direct result of Samsung hoarding the 835 chips for itself.
So why can't LG wait for the 835 to release? It's not like people will be lining up to buy their phone anyways... since they no longer have: a removable battery to offer, a good phone design to entice buyers since the LG G4... or well any advantage over their rivals... I don't get how LG beating Samsung to market with an offering that has an inferior CPU and inferior battery life at a similar price as an S8 = Profit

At the same price would want the latest or a previous generation inferior chip in your new phone?
AnonD-39937, 07 Feb 2017you can always buy G5 that has 820 if you want a cheaper phoneAgree. 2017 is for Sd835 flagships. If you are ok with SD821 for cheap and don't want modular, then OP3T is also there
I think that in february they will show a 500$ "normal version" with 821/4GB RAM and later, in april/may/june, they will release a 700$ "premium version" with 835/6-8GB RAM.

I'l... moreSincerely, I also don't understand why a person would change their flagship phone faster than 2 years...but companies need to push the best of the best hardware in order to give people the option to get the best phone possible...Snapdragon 835 brings some changes like Bluetooth 5 (which is a huge step, 2xspeed, 4xrange), better autofocus and video stabilisation, a bit faster CPU and GPU(it won't be obvious now, but in long term, say 1-3 year, it will make a difference) and more battery life being on 7nm...so in 2017 on android 835/S8's exynos is a must, if it's anything else it's at most a nearly high end phone
Dakiiph, 07 Feb 2017MWV? some kind of new MWC. jk I hope they somehow manage to grab some SD835unfortunately no
2017 "flagship" with Snapdragon 821? this is going to be a bit flop!

If the camera produces flagshipphone quality pictures and videos, I will buy it.
Waiting for the DxOMark testresults...
When new features didn't came to mind, they started messing with smartphones

I'll never understand why people dump on a processor that isn't even a year old just because it's not less than a quarter of a year old.
The circles on the four corners follow the fibonacci sequence.
This is the sequence seen everywhere in the Galaxy. (but certainly not in Samsung's own universe)

In real life use you will not see much difference between SD821 and SD835, except maybe in batterylife.. But the price of a phone with SD835 chip will be more expensive...
Also SD821 had some good improvement over SD820 :
