just received it yesterday and the phone is awesome. only problem currently is the phone screen ratio is 20:9 and most of the apps are made to fit 16:9 ratio. so I'm seeing ugly black space on the bottom half of my screen
all acers are of cheaply made did you see the close up of these things. it looks like it was made by street kids in china.
again they should stick to making cheap laptops.
i think this is 1st phone whihc is like 100% phone & 100% tablet.great specs and great to hold on too...need to get a hands on quickly
didn't LG try this screen ratio 2 yrs ago?
but it looked better on the LG. this thing is fugly.
but it has better resolution and is on android.
acer should stick to making cheap laptops.
Seen lots of comment on dual-SIM, how is it useful in Europe and USA? Thought this is only useful in China? Comments please?
looks real promising. the wide aspect ratio allows bigger screens to fit in the same sized pocket. a metal body is always preffered. the question is will they get the telephony part right; that is recpetion, & noise cancellation and or adequate volume.
What I mean is samsung galaxy tab, it is 7 inches, but still best to carry.
I will still stick with my samsung galaxy, I hope that there will be an update in the future.
a Vivaz owner, 14 Feb 2011Interesting device. It stands out of the iPhone-looking devices (aka LGs and Samsungs) with it... moreYes you are right, but i think that it looks silmilar to Nokia N9 prototype
Little bigger screen should be nice we hate 4" inc and Acer rocks in know days the phone speck's are interesting happy to read these great news thanks gsm
Well 1024x480 WAS impressive back in 2009 when sharp used it
...It is NOT "impressive" years later on a 20% larger screen...
PLEASE hold your superlatives to where they are appropriate....
not very well known brand in my country for phone manufacture
btw its a beauty phone i guess
4.8inch is still small?! you guys must have giant hands (and giant pockets too).
What a shame, when this was partly revealed late last year it was probably the best Android and could have justified a high price, but NOW with what SAMSUNG, LG, & SE have announced at MWC, the Iconia is a bit late to the party, it better be decently priced if Acer want a good piece of the market share pie.
