They could either become successful like OPPO(used to be a great bang for buck smartphone vendor ie Find 5,find 7)but now they make budget phones with a good selfie camera and sell it at midrange prices.People have become selfie obsessed apparently.
Or it could backfire like asus(Zenfone2 and Zenfone 3)
Fun fact :I'm seeing four ads from oppo in this page
CozImBatman, 10 Feb 2017I don't get this. It got patched in 4.0.2 and 4.0.3 is out already, and now, this post? WHY?Its usual for vulnerabilities to be disclosed publicly only after the patch is released, else it would be a disaster for users.

I don't have a favorite brand, but I tend to go with Sony usually, followed by Sammy and HTC. The rest are just no names from my point of view.
OnePlus are on the verge of collapse anyway. Not to mention that their phones are getting progressively more expensive each year. Stated from $249 and last year reached $399.
Sorry but no cigar.

So... even big names are not secure.
Maybe you are an Apple fan and that's why you can criticize Android.
Also... Cyanogen wasn't as secure as many expects.
If it wasn't for CyanoGen, nobody would know what OnePlus is. Now it's just another chinese fortune cookie with a bad OS that probably spies the hell out of you.
By the way, 99% of the people never heard of them. At least in Europe. Personally I've never seen a person owning one or for sale in shops..
Also, if I overlook the facts above, it still doesn't meet my needs as it doesn't have waterproof and SD card. That takes it off my list.
Oh, and they have no service centers in Europe.
