I hope iSheeps can now admit that they don't have any single original parts except for their micro-chips and/or software. :-)
Their cameras are from Sony, and now their displays are from Samsung.
Romie Lee, 13 Feb 2017That's way to expensive for just a peace of screen... Does Apple really are about to allow(ed)... moreYes, I won't buy it, you won't either. But they are free to charge whatever they think works for them. They are a business, after all - and tech companies aren't usually covered by price controls at all.
That's way to expensive for just a peace of screen... Does Apple really are about to allow(ed) themselves to be rip-off that much? eh
Samsung will make flawed panels for apple.. revenge prank time yet again for all those annoying lawsuites :D
The begining of the end for apple, literally a samsung phone with an apple logo
AnonD-632062, 13 Feb 2017Hey, 2011 called! They want your comment back......Haha spot on....
Ali, 13 Feb 2017Very bad Amoled display, totally out of nature, very oversaturated colors, in basic no detail.... moreWhat absolute garbage....if you think they were SOOO bad as you claim do you think that Apple would even consider buying them??? i think not!! please go and troll elsewhere as your out of date comments are not accurate here
Why buy from Samsung when they can "innovate" an OLED display out of air. Bad Apple!!
Someone Else, 13 Feb 2017160 million AMOLED displays so far. So, correct me if I'm wrong. 4.3 billion for 60 millio... moreAccording to the original source that is correct. $4.3B for 60M panel. Not sure why the cost is so high. According to market price early lasy year a 5" 1080p amoled panel cost only $14.30. Unless Apple order a bigger screen with higher resolution then Samsung price is definitely 5 times costlier. Maybe it includes royalties charge. Afterall, Samsung the only one in the world making Superamoled panel.
Ali, 13 Feb 2017Very bad Amoled display, totally out of nature, very oversaturated colors, in basic no detail.... moreS7 and S7 edge has a standard profile which has great color accuracy. But are you talking about old AMOLED or new S Amoled 2016?

So, correct me if I'm wrong. 4.3 billion for 60 millio... moreYup! 71.67 $. Looks way steep a price, for its only gonna be a FullHD or lower.
Something tells me that the next iPhone is gonna be so daaammmmnn expensive, that the iSheeps are gonna be forced to buy Android.
