But what do you know. And from the previous comment you made is will matter. Since you argue that tablets have the apps.because when it's a Windows tablet. Windows 10 has all the apps for tablets and laptops. So laptops have all the apps in tablets. And they at least have the ability to keep a web page offline. Unlike tablets that after opening a few tabs and going back you have e to re PU that page.

It's not a hard concept to grasp. Put the same amount of pixels in a smaller screen and the image is crisper. 1+1=2 ...
BTW I would be with you if the actual laptops out there were not the overpriced cr*p they currently are ... the onslaught of tablets and the crash of their sales taught laptop OEMs (and Intel) nothing. They didn't change with the times, and it is honestly best to see them crash and burn.
Thankfully that's where things seem to go. If it was not for the corporate push in fact laptops would already greatly struggle and most players would have abandoned the market...

Most of the cheap tablets are TN liek Amazon ones. DPI means nothing if you have low res. Tablets have high DPI cuz the screen is small. But most tablets sold don't have that. You obviously want everyone to buy a 400+ tablet. And buy your logic many high end laptops are 4k more than what tablet models you listed if we are going that route.
What's the use of a higher dpi f your screen isn't even hd. Most small tablet sold aren't even 760p that your joking about . Your tablets are less than that. What kind of quality is that no HD in 2016

They are still selling 15" TN 768p laptops in 2017. That display resolution belongs in 1997. Even the highest end Thinkpad P50/P70 uses PWM at 220Hz below 95% brightness and starts at $2000. Cheap junk screens. Save the optometrist bills from using such a screen and just get a tablet + desktop with a proper monitor.
Laptops are a dying market, and the laptop manufacturers themselves are to blame.

At this point I'm sure you're trolling because even after giving you the clear proof that you are wrong you insist in your lies. Nobody does that, not even Trump.
Similarly you're wrong about laptop screens. It's easy to check the PPI between most selling tablets and most selling laptops which is very much a numeric value. After that you can check a non numeric value, the panel tech, but even then you can find sources showing which is the better tech (again though numbers like contrast, color delta when viewed from angle). Don't make me do it again, just research for it for once.
I hope that you're being paid by some laptop OEM, else your attempt to defend this sing technology see sad to say the least. And I'm not saying that laptops are useless, they are useful to an absolutely minority of people, the rest would be better served by a tablet.

Here are the *real* links that I posted above (just press see current page)
Evidently IDC did release per quarter results of tablet sales. Now if you add the quarters you get the yearly results, of course if you knew that you wouldn't appear as insolent, so I guess you're bad at basic arithmetic too.
As for your 2nd point, it's nonsensical. Of course I said that tablets do 90% of what computers do, because that's what 90% of tablets do (only 10% of the sales are windows tablets). I couldn't make an inclusive argument otherwise.
Now go back to your fake statistics trying to find some truth there. In the meanwhile I have to stress how bad it is that you're implying that most laptop sales is not actually low end garbage. On average tablets have better screen and battery than laptops, deal with it.
That is to say that even garbage tablets can beat garbage laptops in the above two. Far easier to carry too. Enjoy your 100 PPI laptop, because that's what a lot of people deal with (those terrible 15 inch, 768p laptops) and don't pretend things are otherwise cause it will make you a hypocrite roo.
Laptops are bad, laptops are the past, sales fall and only stubborn geeks use them still. Bye, bye terrible laptops
The majority supports truth. You fed them falsehoods and believed you. I give them statistics and now it is me that they believe. Laptops are hot garbage.

First off IDC doesn't have 2016 shipment report out yet. They only have forcast, which obviously wrong from what Gartner reported. (Probably why you had the fake links)
Second of course is natters cuz you said your self that you don't need a laptop because tablet app can do 90% what a laptop can. Which I don't belive.since Windows tablets have windows that means windows laptops have what Windows tablets have. So they are basically the same.
And if you read the IDC report for 2015 shipments you would have read that the majority of sales were low end Android tablets. Which means most are crap. And nobodies buying the high end ones. Except for Apples. And the same goes for their report on Q1 2016, which they have a report on.
Anyways it's seems like the majority here opposes you and your fake facts.

IDC are real sales and not US only, they are worldwide sales. It's ~180 mil for tablets and ~150 mil for laptops. You live in lala land if you think otherwise.
Who the heck talked of windows vs android, you were the one that brought it up. I only talked how worthless laptops are for most people that even with the strong corporate push they get they can't match tablets and won't for years to come. That's the definition of a fail product. No wonder, bad battery and bad screens give you that.
Plenty of 250+ PPI screens on tablet. Not just Apple, Microsoft (surface pro), Sony (Xperia Z4), Samsung (tab s series), Google Pixel. All with much better screens than the vast majority of laptops ... for less money. Oh they also get better battery, they get the Web version of social apps (which is sh*t btw in usability terms according to *all* usability experts) plus the mobile app version of those.
I think you are the one who belongs in onion, in the face of overwhelming evidence you keep on sailing to the same direction (to your doom). People chose already (especially if you subtract the corporate push ... which is very much *not* people).
A laptop is the ancient version of a tablet. By mid century nobody will own one. It's such a 20th century artifact... so bad.

It can run all social media apps much better than how a phone does (bigger screen) or a computer (better app) can do. Easier to carry, typically (much) better screen, greater battery life. Easier to cary/use than a laptop, giving 90% of the functionality. Only if you're a drunk or a geek you buy a laptop. The rest of the sales are made by companies replacing their fleet every few years.
For the rest a laptop is a terrible choice, no portrait mode, twice the weight for the same screen size, half the battery life, terrible screens by comparison. No wonder they lose in sales despite the hard push laptops gets from corporate economy...
A smart watch is the opposite of a tablet. While a tablet is the elegant version of a laptop, a smart watch is the inelegant version of a phone's use case. Always in plain view, terrible, small screen, terrible battery life, weak and ugly. It's the opposite than what a tablet can or should be. That's the worse comparison I've heard all day.
