This is gud news that nokia will release affordable phone with WP7 .It will stop the people who wants to switch from symbian.i have droid phone but I never feels a that I have tough phone with gud OS,what I m feeling is gud OS with toy phone.now nokia switchs to WP7 that means people will get tough phone with gud OS which is comparable to android .Gud move nokia.
WP7 on Nokia outdated hardware with their slow cpu and only 256 mb ram will only force even more Symbian users to the many less expensive Androids. WP7 is far, very far, from as good as Android, and Android is fast evolving to be even better while WP7 have not yet reached Android 2.1.
It is fine if the phone is cheaper to try and get people
on board to buy it. but there can not be a drop in features
and build quality.
People are expecting a brilliant camera from Nokia and and a metal build quality in the vain of Htc anything less and it wont be worth it
Nokia will release wp7 phones with wp7.5"mango" with updated features and 12mp module same with n8.
Nokia might also bring the first wp7 dualcore smarthpones
Please dun stop things on Symbian 3 ...
please keep you promises on it...
Else I will really have to consider Android...
And it is really get near the point of why not....
I hold nothing against Microsoft, but Windows Phone 7 stand no chance (from my point of view). Sure, the user interface is unique and all that stuff but it's to sober. The homescrees has 2 color (black + another color that can be changed); you can't set a wallpaper for the homescreen. And that awkward interface, just like a big bord that need to be scrolled... it's sluggish. I'd rather go for iOS.
For now i'll stick with Nokia (N900) but after that i'll go for Android (probably Galaxy S II or Motorola Atrix).
I see how Nokia reach out for their loyal symbian fanbase. Of course the 680 mhz and 256 mb of ram ( oh it is the minimum amount of ram for wp7) will be updated. im sure these lowend wp7 phones will have 800 mhz - 1 ghz and 3.5" up. also 512 mb of ram.
even if the phone is cheap, but will it have the feature that we all want for windows?
