ZloiYuri, 20 Feb 201718:9=2:1 Human eye' horisontal field of view is 200 degrees. It's 140 man. it doesn't have to do anything with LG G6s screen ratio

LG snappers have always been one of the best, but it's making me wonder what sensor it's going to use because I don't know any latest high end 13MP sensors which have bigger pixels etc. Anyone?

TechGirl90, 20 Feb 2017A Gimmick is a unique or quirky feature designed to make a product or service "stand out" from... moredoesn't look cool to me. it looks stupid. the edges looks that it has some kind of vignetting when you stare from the front. I'm still baffled by how people buy useless feature like that. though most of the time my friend and others (who owns it, and i know them, they told me) do not use the edge features.

Im more interested in this LGG6 than the Galaxy s8. I really like the wide angle lens on the camera even if some people dont. Love been able to get so much in one image. Theres nothing at all that excites me about the S8 and think its such a shame that samsung couldnt have included a second wide angle lens (asuming rumours are true). As someone has already put the edge screens are basically gimmicks and no one has yet found a good use for them. Just hope the G6 has a decent camera and this could be my next phone.

if it comes with the snapdragon 820 i would be surprised and it would be stupid, it should come with at least the 821 let alone the new 835/exynos which samsung and others will release in a few months

I also owned an S7 and S6, both superb too, but the cameras were not as wide angle. I found the Edge fiddly to hold and operate, and most people I know who have them are the same who buy a £650 iPhone 7 Plus, those who like to pose rather than do something useful. (I normally own a Note, but, well...)

Err... I'll take bokeh over fisheye any day, but thanks for the offer, LG. I believe usual smartphone cameras are wide enough "as is", don't want them to go wider. At the same time, portraits come out much more interesting with software-simulated bokeh effect.

ZloiYuri, 20 Feb 201718:9=2:1 Human eye' horisontal field of view is 200 degrees. The human eye's real horisontal field of view is 4:3. The rest of the view is blurry pheripheral. That's why 16:9 standard is bullshit. 4:3 is the best.

Dexter, 20 Feb 2017Gimmick.A Gimmick is a unique or quirky feature designed to make a product or service "stand out" from its competitors. Product gimmicks are sometimes considered mere novelties, and tangential to the product's functioning.

Upon us knowing the meaning of what a Gimmick is, the Dual Camera feature is not a Gimmick, it actually serves a purpose.

I'll tell you what is a Gimmick, the edged screens on the Galaxy S6/S7(Edge Variants)/S8/S8+, those curves serves no purpose but just to look cool.

Just create a brighter lens similar to Asus Zenfone Zoom (with real optical zoom, not
ret @ rded just like from i C r @ p 7+) and pair it with latest Sony sensor. SD821 is fine, put 4100mAh battery, IP68 and price it below $600.

The cameras, 4 of them, sound so good, to good to be true... Till I see a clear advantage of the setup it sounds like a gimmick... Like the one from G5 which didn't helped very much...but Snapdragon 821 because of the stinking devil Samsung

So then, if we have two 13MP snappers on the back, does that mean that pixel size will be increased to allow for better low light performance? Not that manual mode needed it, but it would be most welcome. It's nice to hear that the cameras will work together, rather than being separate entities. I would certainly like to know about pixel size etc.. Not long to wait now. The news of the camera functionality has taken my interest again, so this could well be my next upgrade - over my G5.
