If Samsung can curve the display on both side then why don't they put down all the buttons from right or left I mean the camera control key the volume rocker up and down, why this can not be achieved from curved display gesture ? if the sim tray go up and no headphone jack is enabled we can achieve a more slimmer display and form factor. Even the charger connector can be replaced with wireless charging which will make a device more resistant to water and dust no more holes. Software need to be improved to use finger print sensor built in display to do perform many functions. Give up all the press button. Thanks
Those bloatwares though! haha. That's why I never bought samsung as android. First Samsung phone I ever had was the C5212 and it was good. Lots of memories. Then that touch screen non-wifi that i can't seem to find. Then My first android phone the Lenovo A60. Then the P780 (from here on, no more
Someone Else, 22 Feb 2017I gotta admit, the soft keys looks so modern.Yup, agree with you. Only Samsung has different software navigation keys than others (And i hope they change it for their own OS too).
Pixel's on screen buttons are good, they added animation on home key.
LG's on screen buttons are ugly and uninspiring.
Sony's on screen buttons are meeeh....uninspiring.
media1, 22 Feb 2017This phome will be so hard to hold without accidentally touching the screen. :((I know right..
But despite of the great look (it's growing on me), i think using a case is a must on this phone.
Here's the bottom line people...
The back button STAYS on the right
Unlike all other Android on screen buttons - Samsung is the only company to acknowledge that the majority of people on this planet are right handed (sorry left-handed users!)
This is very, VERY good news.
Kudos Samsung :)

It looks compact. That guy hold the Galaxy S8 like a 5" phone.
Someone Else, 22 Feb 2017I gotta admit, the soft keys looks so modern.app switcher icon looks beautiful

Yes, still gives us an idea of how it will look like, that's about it. The software navigation buttons may look different
consumersmartphone, 22 Feb 2017Mi mix got appreciated very high in 2016 and people tell it best in design. Xiaomi hater? you.... moreSure. And the hype died down just as quickly as it came. Xiaomi didn't even do a proper job with its promotion of the mi mix. Their poster images showed noticeably slimmer bezels than the actual phone. Trying to fool the public eh? Just to get more people jumping on the bandwagon? Fact of the matter is, the mi mix is an overhyped underachiever. The bottom bezel is awkward, the front camera placement is awkward, the entire thing is awkward to the point that xiaomi had to rectify it with promotional images that were better looking than the finished product. You call me a hater? Fine. Doesn't change the fact that xiaomi is a wannabe mainstream company that's only ever good at making apple/samsung clones and beguiling the misinformed and the less budget-happy folk. Have fun with your inferior choice.
Anonymous, 22 Feb 2017Speakers on a phone will never ever sound REALLY good. It will always lack the low frequencies... moreI know the speakers of cellphones arw no match to external sound boxes..
I only use earphone when someone's around. So I do not bother the person.
Front speaker are so much better. My G Pad has speaker on the back, that sucks.
My point is for 800,00 or more Samsung should pack the best stuff available.
Stereo sound with front speaker
Great front cam ( s7 has a awful one)
3700 mAh on s8 and 4200 on s8+
Noise cancelling like Sony does
Assistent is useless, it is just because Apple has.
