OTA Android 2.3.3 update for the Nexus S and Nexus One rolls out Comments

As Android fan I'm getting annoyed about the way Google allows his OS to be implemented. They say that their strong side is that Android is implemented by various manufacturers and so unlike e.g. Apple you have plenty of different hardware to choose between. OK, but in practice if I whish to have my handset always up-to-date I have only 2 choices: Nexus One (out of offer) and Nexus S. Because if you have any other handset you will have to wait for update about an year (!) and still not sure if you get one. Further more I think all the skins starting with Sense UI or Touch Wizz are extremely ugly and useless. That's insanely stupid I think. How would you comment this? Am I the only person who is annoyed by this?

Actually I think HTC will delay the upgrade of HTC Desire to 2.3 till the sales of HTC Desire S and Incredible S reach their expected mark ups. Since the both of these are similar to the previous generation

I'd also like to see the HTC Desire get an update to 2.3 but my guess is that we will have to wait for an unofficial version from the community.
