The heat pipe is nothing but a thin piece of copper. I don't see how this is advanced, pretty simple design really. I find it funny how the engineers can't figure out how to remove the battery, when there's a blue plastic pull tab attached to the battery. It's pretty bad when the designers don't even know how to disassemble their own equipment that they built.

Heatpipe is not the way to get rid of bootloop. It makes no sens cause there is nothing on the end of the heatpipe.
I prefer the Mate 9
Which is better this or Mate 9?
I think that this smartphone and especially lg is dead why they haven 't one device why they have only in US wirelless changing last year they had very "innovative" phone like g5 I think it was the worst smartphone of 2016. I would prefer samsung 's galaxy s8 plus as my next device cause my s7 edge is one of the best smartphone i have ever bought.
No MST parts then? Doubt if G6 is shipped with support for LG Pay. I'd like to see they go with the LG Pay card solution which I was hoping Plastc will offer. But it took them at least 2 and half year more than they expected to ready for launch without support of chips so...
One of the best phones still now best!!!!!!!! '! '
Still using mine after almost 3 years. More reliable than anything else I've owned.
A Note 4 user, 27 Feb 2017Removable battery is useful for 99% people, that do not buy an expensive phone for just 1 year.I have a Note 3, still going strong after 3.5 years. Still rocking the original battery and don't have any noticeable battery-life degradations. It's still running 24-36 hours on a single charge, under medium use, just like it was when it was new.
Lithium batteries don't die 'just like that'. The LiCoO2 battery in our phones is good for 500-1000 full charge/discharge cycles, before capacity drops below 80% of what it's rated for.
500 cycles is 1.37 years with full daily discharges to 0 and recharges to 100%
1000 cycles it a 2.74 years with the same heavy use. Not as many people drive down their phones to 0% every day, and even for the ones that do, battery life impact isn't as significant as you make it out to be.
And no, a charge from 20-30% to 100% and discharge back to 20-30% isn't considered a full cycle either
no removable battery -> FAIL! I love my LG G3, it has removable battery and Qi-Charging. Will buy LG again when they offer what they did in 2014. LG G6 is a fail.

Interesting, also the fact that they're using a Li-Po battery...
Removable battery is useless for 99% of people.
I am really diggin' this phone!
The only reason to buy an LG was removable battery. It lost its best selling point.
Can every new phone have these sorts of videos released please?
Tia.
The consumer deserves more details internally..
Unlike iphone, So far LG is 1 of the best score easy to fix, but downgrade battery not removeable
AnonD-81600, 26 Feb 2017Li-Po means less charging cycles than Li-Ion, am I right?Li-po has more charging cycles than li-ion and li-po usually seen in high end phones
