oooh my God!!! i just gave up waiting for this phone, and i already bought samsung wave II for a week now.. i really do prefer android, coz bada is sucks, not intuitive at all..

why the hell they just announced it now..!! i keep looking and asking everywhere about this galaxy sl, and nobody seems to have the information, i really thought that they would cancel this phone because it seems nobody is interested anyway.. oh my God this is sucks..

if i only i could just return the phone.. but unfortunately, we can't do that kind of thing in my country..

I had also made enquiry in mumbai but it i... moreno its not the Indian galaxy s.. in fact no country has it now.. as Samsung is short of Super AMOLED screens.. so they have stopped producing the original S.. thats why they have launched the same phone with an LCD screen... its not that they sell downgraded products to India only.. Infact India is amongst first few countries who'll be getting this phone.. dont always complain... its still a grt buy for this price..

This price is due to the nearing launch of Olive Gingerbread Phone.

guys come on... its not the "Indian version".. its a new phone with same name bcos Samsung isnt left with many super amoled screens.. so to counter that they have launched this phone.. and its a whole 8,000RS cheaper than the original one.. and you can get a 16GB mem card for arnd 1000 Rs.. still u save 7000.. and btw the original s is no more available.. so stop complaining... its the best phone around for the price.. it can even give DHD a tough competition.. as it comes for about Rs 26000..

The major thing is they have down graded it to SC LCD from Super Amoled.
Other spec's are also downgraded. There are many phones with latest technologies are coming like the galaxy S II with S.amoled plus, Atrix, Sony Ericcson Arc etc. etc.
So this phone may not be a great phone.

only advantage is that it got froyo 2.2
samsung really sucks when it comes to high end smartphones. Camera without flash, downgraded graphics chip, less internal memory when compared to galaxy s, super clear LCD and in fact inferior to amoled(samsung gives no preference for phones in demand)
samsung aims indian market as they know its in demand...with less pricing than the previous galaxy s,a cheating game so that they get more profit with less features added to new phones..but still people will buy it just to make themselves satisfied(owning a galaxy s phone finally at cheap price at last)
for a smartphone its not bad...but downgrading sucks a lot
motorola defy has similar features but less priced

I wont pay anything for this phone we want I 9100 Galaxy S II. That's a much better phone. Better screen, processor, camera and what not. It does not make sense to launch this phone in India.
