AnonD-2464, 26 Feb 2011will u explain what is da diff b/w support & warranty???warranty is against manufacturing flaw of equipment. for this you will need to visit the samsung service center. based on the problem you will get free service to rectify the problem within the warranty period (1 year). Beyond that it is chargeable. For unbilled phone, you will still get service but will be chargeable.

Support is related to technical issues of software, upgrades, firmware.

SGS for 25K in India was a steal for its specs, now SL for 19K is a very good buy when you compare the competition and the fact is its bootloader is open unlike other, which means you can keep upgrading with the help of X(da)-men.

... and I dont know if European version is downgraded, but Indian version is not. India is a massive market for quality products, reason why apple is losing the game.

I know lot of ppl who have S, but never heard of any case where motherboard has problem or for that matter any major hardware problem.
Rs.23K is killer price for S. Just go for it.
Indian version of SL is highly downgraded version of S.

Great pricing, totally worth it. I do not see why people are complaining, sure this lacks few features of original galaxy S but at this price it's worth it.

SL model in India is disappointing. It does not match the specs which is given by gsmarena.
Following are the differences between Galaxy SL (India model) and Galaxy S:

                        1. SC-LCD display against S-Amoled
                        2. 4 gb internal memory against 16 gb
                        3. Heavier - 131 gm against 119 gm
                        4. Thicker - 10.6 mm against 9.9 mm
                        5. Slower GPU
                        6. 2.1 Bluetooth against 3.0
                        7. 1x digital zoom against 4x

SL price Rs.19500 (at flipcart). S price Rs.25000.
I would prefer S over SL since cost difference is only Rs.5000.

In India, there's just one variant which has 4gb storage.

The price is less in India because the inbuilt memory is just 4GB instead of 16GB.

The reason that it is significantly less expensive in India is that it only comes with 4 GB of onboard memory
