If John Chen, CEO of Blackberry, had a clue, he'd approach Sony about putting Bos 10.x on a Sony phone. But since he doesn't, he won't. LOLzzzzzz
Anonymous, 03 Mar 2017Who cares about this OS? Sony's OS itself is very good.Than go buy a "Sony" OS and stop comenting about things you do not understand.
I have been waiting for an operating system to replace "Google" android. When Firefox os was realed, I thought that it would succeed, but it did not. My hopes are up since Sony is joing hands with jolla to bring Sailfish os to Xperia devices. I hope Nokia will follow Sony.
Alien , 01 Mar 2017Sorry to brake it to you but Motorola is nothing but a chinese fortune cookie nowadays. Go try... moreThat is the whole point of the conversation: you need a high-end mobile with a million RAM in order to run Android properly. It is NOT running lag free on medium of low-end phones...

Maaaan......no lag on Android. I must have ... moreSorry to brake it to you but Motorola is nothing but a chinese fortune cookie nowadays. Go try a Sony or a Pixel and you will feel like your Motorola was actually a replica phone :))
Next time buy an actual high-end flagship from a non-chinese brand before attacking android..
Angry Bird, 01 Mar 2017"You have been living on a dreamworld, Neo...." Maaaan......no lag on Android. I must have ... moreYeah yeah, yada yada. Keep on lying to yourself. Sailfish will fail, and Android will continue being the world's top OS. End of conversation :)
Anonymous, 28 Feb 2017I have not used Sailfish myself but am not opposed to it, but I want to point out that I still... moreOk, but what version of android is on that phone then? I am talking about a 3-4 year old phone running the latest version released end last year (up to date) of sailfish without any issue or lag... In fact, even after every new update the phone still feels brand new! :-) Apparently the latest update soon to be released improves performance even more, can't wait!
Sony e4g, 28 Feb 2017Guys what you think about sony e4g this phone is from 2015 64bit (budget).Any chance for that... moreit's an ok phone. not exactly high spec, but good enough for a daily driver. i switched to another phone because the camera is low end, and i needed a good camera phone for work. also has a lot of bloatware.

Maaaan......no lag on Android. I must have missed something because my Motorola G4 Plus has lag. I only needed to wait 3 months to see what you deny and has not disappeared ever since. What is mostly interesting is that my phone is not full with apps. I am trying to keep it vey clean.
Anyway....I hope that Sailfish will become a good alternative, as well, W10M . Regardless this, I agree that Android has come a long way since older versions but the UI is still the same boring concept combined with a lot of vulnaribities.....
Perhaps Nokia could join too. Though going vertical making both software and hardware looks like picking a fight with the establishment - Google, Apple and Samsung - a fight that would be hard to win.

I have no experience with Sailfish/MeeGo but people seems to love it- just look at popularity of Nokia N9 which I'am trying to get too, so I hope it will get successful in future and Nokia may pick it.
AnonD-48141, 28 Feb 2017And then Sony will acquire Jolla/Sailfish ....that's gonna happen. As a Sailfish OS user for the last couple of years I am thrilled to see high end hardware supporting a free, open, private, secure and innovative OS like this one!
AnonD-625786, 28 Feb 2017It sure is, agreed, but Sailfish will definitely fail. What do you base that on? It is an OS that has managed to stay longer than WP/Firefox/Ubuntu Touch OS so far. Plus, you can run Android apps on this, so it started off with the massive apps database available to all users.
