hahahaha ZTE blade better than LG phones in terms of support. ZTE blade started as eclair then updated to froyo, NOW Gingerbread. woooohoooo!
Did you hear that Samsung? Did you hear? Never again Samsung phone!
...We want Gingerbread!!! (LG Optimus One)
i use LG gw620 android 1.5 phone. im the one of those 4%'s, who use the earliest android release. what a shame for LG.
I can bet "at least 1 version update" means exactly 1 update :D
If Android updates release gets closer, one next version is sure to get updated as fast as today. Commitment with time is better, two years for example. Or even, as long as Google didn't raise the hardware specs.
unfortunately one-level update may also mean 2.2 ---> 2.2.X or so..
this's absolutely a brilliant tricky statement from LG :\
Me want Gingerbread on my O1 now! Hehe
I can't wait!
Hopefully they release their phones with the latest version too then, not with Froyo and then Gingerbread later.
HTC seems to be the best with updating at the moment, as they announced last week that the Desire (as well as Desire HD and Desire Z) would get a Gingerbread update, so that is 2 major updates for the Desire.
Maybe a Desire is still a good buy then, it just needs a longer life battery for about £30 for 1800mAh and it is good to go.
AnonD-291, 28 Feb 2011why not nexus phones. they frequently get updated by Google.I'm eyeing the O3D but I have to see if the bootloader is open first.
bummy, 28 Feb 2011Most phones are getting at least 1 upgrade these days... 2.0 > 2.1 is one upgrade. And n... moreI do. I know my phone is capable of handling Gingerbread but some OEM out there decided not to spend money on making 2.3 available to us. I'm thinking of moving back to iPhone so I'll be guaranteed to receive updates for at least 2 years but Android has the cutting edge that I want.
not all, samsung phones not allways get updated.

2.0 > 2.1 is one upgrade. And nobody cares about that.
