They are desperate to snag as many sales as possible before the Galaxy S8 launch. I don't blame them, the S8, while much uglier from the pictures, will be a powerhouse of technology.

But Moto Z aren't selling like crazy either (3 million sold, including Play version?) and yet Lenovo (Moto) is sticking to it, with funds already allocated into making more mods, incl 3rd party (developers kit). That's called vision and courage, and it is reason Lenovo is where it is today.

Next to no units were sold, and the modules sold even worse. Why continue something, when it is blatantly obvious that it was a failure?
Am I the only one who is tired of being overlooked or even discriminated against by these Korean and Asian phone companies?
If it's not Samsung giving the Asian more RAM than the rest of the world,Now it seems LG are giving preferential treatment to Koreans. Im all for incentives but I'm sure if the shoe was on the other foot you would feel no different!
For that treatment LG you won't be getting my cash!
How about take off $390 off the actual price.
G6 is a flop.
Put a 600$ Price tag and sell well.
Put too much effort to give away advertising items in order to cover 800$ price tag?
The selling point is either being unique with strong support like what Apple is and do, or set a price tag that absorb customer's attention. The latter must be LG's marketing model in order to survive as a smartphone maker(Other departments of LG are separated from Smartphone and Tablet division).

I really believed in LG when they released G5. As l had reasonably well functioning device back then, l waited... And l waited too long. LG never brought any new modules, nor did they put any effort whasoever to encourage 3rd party modules. Then they pulled from my country (EU member state!)... And now they completely abandoned any modularity of G5.
I just can't find justification for a company which turns its back on customers on so many levels. I am happy that l waited, for l would be ashamed l ever gave any money to such a shameless company.
till feb9 or march 9
The LG G6 is now up for pre-order in the company's home country of South Korea. Major local carriers started accepting the pre-orders yesterday and the process will continue till February 9.
