Comparing phone batteries to other device batteries is stupid. It's not as simple as you think. Google is your friend. It will explain you much more.

Switch tends to casual gaming and gaming on the go while PS4 is home console plus Nintendo's IP is next to none in gaming

If it will be full-power with fan on I think that the battery life will be half or even lower... To put it out, the battery is too small and the SOC(maybe even RAM) is too old and ineficient
Considering that it's a "value" gaming console at 300$ (PS4 costs 270$ for a lot more performance lol :))))) ) we can understand that they use cheap eMMC storage, coupled with a 2 years old Tegra X1 and 4GB of LPDDR4 memory, we are on your side, Nintendo , for pricing 300$ a device which costs maximum 100$ to make. Poor people who threw money through the window for Nintendo Switch.
if the dock is what allows the faster speeds, surely theres a way to keep it in handheld mode and get the most out of it, although from what I've seen im not sure if that's a need or a want...
