The whole 3310 PR gimmick was an awesome and verry effective idea. Gotta give it to HMD's marketing department, they know their stuff...
Anyways, the carrier has to say it supports it. Canadian Pixels and Pixel XL just received VoLTE support. Some had it on day one like the S7.
It is absurd how people are interested in buying Nokia phone albeit its CRAZY price tag & CHEAP hardware.
In my country, there's an operator which "made" a phone under their label, which uses Snapdragon 2xx & 4xx, bundled with CRAZY data plan (free 65gb or 100 gb, depends on which devices u pick), VoLTE support, & costs between US$65-100. The phone itself is quite good for its asking price, as it was made either by Haier, Hisense, or ZTE, added with HUGE data plan & SD chipset, it is selling like hotcakes here.
Meanwhile, Nokia, using the same chipset with 4gb RAM gimmick, asking for US$250? No matter how u explain, it's CRAZY. Both Haier, Hisense, ZTE, & Foxconn are Chinese company, all of them have decent quality control for all their smartphones, & from my own experience, Hisense & Haier-made smartphone are sturdy enough for daily use & occasional drop from jeans' pocket, so what makes Nokia-branded smartphone worth $250?
Build quality? Sturdiness? Longer-lasting? Nope, it's all about FANBOYISM of "legendary" brand, which is a STUPID thing. It's a DELUSION made both by NOKIA in the past & our mind which made all their products looks "better", "sturdier", "geekier" than others, the same strategy Apple had been use for several years now after the DOWNFALL of Nokia.
FYI, All well-known brands & manufacturers are similar in maintaining their quality control, they are all using the same machine, similar standard operational procedure, the same technology, & similar technique in making the phone. There are no such thing as "Nokia is really strict with their QC" BS, since there are some cases where people get a defective Nokia phone the first time s/he unboxing it (i'm one of them, my 6600 cannot read MMC, then I asked for a new one immediately from Nokia care).
Grow up, PEOPLE! There's no such thing as "better Quality Control, better build, better sturdiness" and other BETTER... BS. It's MARKETING STRATEGY & UR OWN MIND SCREWING U into buying OVERPRICED, CHEAP Nokia-branded smartphone!
indian, 07 Mar 2017that's great! Nokia ROCKS!What is that mean? Nokia look like stone in garden?
Anonymous, 07 Mar 2017Correction. HMD using the Nokia brand name. Not quite the same thing.it has been clarified so many times that a lot of Nokia employees and heads are there and not only that its under licence which Nokia controls. Sick of all the people saying its just a brand name. There is so much more to it. You may as well say the same about apple yet its under licence so they control it. Makes all the BIG GOOD difference. To that end I will definitely be putting a NOKIA to our business stable.
yes of course we knew these 2 processors supports general global network
Correction. HMD using the Nokia brand name. Not quite the same thing.
please someone comment that its not the real Nokia, without that kind of comments the comment this section is little bit empty
