agree with the above post... it may not be the most fantastic tablet around but it will out sell just about any other tablet in the market due to apple's amazing marketing tactics.
+1 for the iPad2 for still having an awesome battery life.

Actually Hp, Lenovo, Toshiba and many more were introduced in 1999-2000 with far better hardware. Why did they not do so well? Not enough marketing and not very iCandy looking. It was advertised more towards business people and was expensive, due to the hardware itself at the time were expensive.
My argument here is Apple is the true copycat here. But they sure do make some good looking products. And with the right amount of people that are willing to pay, they will only increment the upgrades every year by a very small fraction.
I like Apple products but they are too damn expensive for the cheap quality hardware they use to make it. +$100 for extra 32GB memory and +$200 for 64GB?? really? why not just enable SD memory slot? LOL @ 3G enabled at +$130.And Digital adapter for extra $39..
Apple really knows how to churn people for extra money. I will stick with different tabs. :)

Apple has the last laugh now for actually producing (and delivering it) the world's very first dual-core device which actually utilizes both cores! You lose Google!

i think IPAD 2 will set a standard for the upcoming Iphone 5 with A5 chip now only that IPad 3 is on the way this fall... :)

pretty much the annual 'apple style update' of minimal changes,nothing new here really,call could have easily been predicted judging by the level the iphone creeps forward the tiny bit each year.
VGA camera will look poor enough stretched over two fold on a screen that size with that resolution. Wifi should ensure a constant data stream but its still a poor camera. Fanboys can god this apple incarnatiuon does not have an antenna ala the iphone 4 style!
At least the pricing is about the same but not really anything to get excited about.

What a dissapoinment, it surely will sell millions in the first day on sale, but that doesn´t mean that is the better product in the market, it just have a well positioned brand behind it. It´s going to be a very interesting year for tablets. Personally i like a little higher resolution, 1280x800 sounds great, and many upcoming tablets will have this, camera capabilities is another extra, 5mp or 8mp sounds great too, and finally expandable storage capacity may be what is going to help me decide.

What I find very cool is the magnetic screen cover. It can also double as a stand, so you can just place the iPad 2 on a table/desk in front of you and sit back and watch a video without having to hold it.

Videos running maybe 3 frames/second, and the whole flash is so buggy/laggy and slow, it choked the whole galaxy tab. Is that what we really want? i dont. If flash could run as smooth as on my computer i would definately want flash, but why so many want slow and laggy flash? I'm waiting to see how well these dual-core cpu tablets are going to handle flash stuff, for now it's far from good.

It will sell in the dozens, that's for sure. But it will have hefty competition. The Blackberry Playbook and the Xoom are amazing and have hefty UI's that are just as responsive and fun as the Ipad 1 and 2. The fact remains this one really should of had flash support with better front and rear facing camera's and way better connectivity-options. They are relying on their loyal userbase to sell this one without the hefty apple improvements that everyone so much wants.

Guys you can hate it as much as you want but i bet this will out sell all other tablets hands down this year. Apple have the smartest adverts going around!!! As second rate as there products maybe they dominate hands down no argument. So in the end this wont be an epic fail as it will generate huge ammounts of revenue, So in closing i would say this device is far from a fail its the new tablet king for 2011 taking the spot from its predesesor the original ipad

Right! This is my opinion: Apple they are doing a fantastic overall. The first gen iPad has sold in millions and they maid a huge profit which tells me and you that they are successful in this business. The expectations are high when they relies a new version and a lot of people expect a lot more from apple but! What they do it's sufficient itsbelegant it's nice and high quality, I have first gen iPad and since I bough it I completely stopt using my Mac book pro simply because iPad does the job. I have paid a bit of money to have this tablet and now I am thinking to sell this one and buy the new one as it seems to be something I need to have, do I? I don't know but it's something about apple which makes you smile very time you use it. As much as I want to say that apple will have competition this year on tablet that it's not going to happen, hundreds of people will be in every store at the day of product launched and they will sell in hundreds again. Well done apple once again for everything.
