AceShot, 10 Mar 2017I want a phone with cheap 10nm soc.. When will happen?!Buy a flagship phone from last year. There is not much difference between 14 and 10 nm SoC. There is barely any difference between the real (single core) performance of Snapdragon 820 and 835.
Old flagship phones are always better than new midrangers anyway.
The edge of technology.. impressive. Tsmc is a serious player. Making *hit happen!
AnonD-237381, 10 Mar 2017Exynos isn't exclusive and never was, the thing is that the other companies don't want to use it. Sorry, my friend, but Exynos is exclusive of Samsung, created, developed and manufactured by Samsung.

AceShot, 10 Mar 2017I want a phone with cheap 10nm soc.. When will happen?!2020-2022. First we have to get to 20 nm for low end phones. Sorry dude.
AnonD-625786, 10 Mar 2017Wow, this is actually good to hear! We're even heading closer and closer to 5nm :DReview Moores law
Nice to see such low amount of haters under mediatek post. Its still the same as always : Qualcomm products are expensive, Mediatek products are cheap and this is there goal to deliver cheap SoC´s with average power for the mass market because low and mid range smartphones always requested. The Helio´s uses those much cores for and optimized power usage. They use three different cores in clusters to switch between 4 low, 4 mid and 2 high end cores. They dont use all cores at the same time.
Anonymous, 10 Mar 2017You should think again. There are some apps that require more multicore powerLike???

That leaves snapdragon and mediatek for the rest of brands.....
U hav lg, sony, lenovo, htc, vivo, oppo, leeco, motorola and a dozen more companies......
And all of them always have and always will consider mediatek for entry level and mid range smartphones
And if they keep getting better every year, maybe helio might be in a flagship one day....
Remember how bad exynos used to be in the early days.....
MediAtek supplies most Asian smartphones. In the not too distant future, it may be competing with Qualcomm .Recalling that the 835 10nm only came true thanks to Samsung that dominates the 10nm technology.
Mediatek never do throttling like sd do my worst soc was the sd808 with highly power throttling shame on you Qualcom

okcnaline, 10 Mar 2017As if 12 cores is going to help mobile gaming in any way.cant wait for the time it'll 1000 cores but still crap.
