Real price max $500, poor battery life, gorilla Glass 3, "old" 821.
Seems like when the LG's engineering department made a switch to SD821 due to SD835 unavailability they forgot to leave a memo for marketing
AnonD-651796, 13 Mar 2017A specifically true statement. I have bought every one of my smart phones outright and off con... morethat ain't reasonable at all if you compare it with Asus, Samsung, Motorola, OnePlus and Xiaomi's flagships, maybe against Apple but not with other brands,
That's a terrible price for the LG G6. Basically the same phone as the S7 Edge when it comes to specs, and you can buy the S7 Edge for $100 less if it's a carrier version, and $200 less if you buy the unlocked version. The LG ship has just sunk.
Doesn't really matter much, if we know now the S7 Edge is technically superior already and cheaper, while the S8 is around the corner with pretty much the same price tag. LG went completely insane with the pricing, thinking they make enough money within the few weeks of impatient people who don't want to wait such short time for the S8?
I got LG G2 32GB for 320 euros new. This was about 9 months after release.
I still use it now. Works good, camera is shit and battery too. Everything else is fine.
G6 is acceptable for 320 euros. 750? Never ever ever ever ever
XZs : 645 euros pre-order. You get as gift a bluetooth speaker that costs 169 euros..
It is a Sony SRS-XB30
Simply can't see how this represents value for money although I shelled out more for the Pixel XL! Other than screen size, struggling to see why I should change from my G-XL to this either. Not feeling Samsung S8 either, cased or not, I'd hate to drop it plus IMO way too thin bezels likely to make landscape movie watching a pain in the backside. Not going back to iPhone (unless headphone jack makes a return - not likely) so looking the Xperia XZ Premium and the Google Pixel XL 2.....laters haters!
And this price for eunuch ;) No wireless charging, no HiFi DAC, camera form last years middle phones and LG really have it CPU inside ? Why ?
So nice make advertisement what high tech we use in our best phone and than remove it from it ;))) on most markets.
AnonD-314089, 13 Mar 2017 A reasonable price. Mainly looking at the prices of today's smartphones.A specifically true statement. I have bought every one of my smart phones outright and off contract starting with the Motorola Milestone, and I was typically able to justify to myself the roughly 600 euro cost for better and better devices that I used extensively. But starting last year I am finding the prices go up and the value remains at best, the same. Well, perhaps a marginally better camera year on year.
As a result I keep looking at the new phones and thinking "They do not play music any better, the camera is perhaps a little better, the battery life is likely no better.. All it does is cost more and basically do everything exactly the same."
And I love technology, really I do. And I feel surprised by this. That nothing feels worth the money any more in this space.
But then perhaps.. Was it ever?
not a Samsung fan but S7 Edge is still a better option than this at a lower price together with 3T
Go buy a Galaxy S7 for 450 euros today, or an S7 Edge for 530 euros from the same country, and you get:
- OLED screen
- Similar performance
- Much better battery life
- Better main camera
- Package Disabler support in order to get rid of bloatware
- Front-mounted fingerprint sensor
- Brighter Always-On Display
- Notification LED
Nexus 007, 13 Mar 2017Lg is following HTC footsteps ! crazy pricing ! :pYeah. Previous gen specs, small battery, high price tag for the specs. Like HTC 10 evo (SD810 the worst), HTC U Ultra (SD821), LG G6 (SD821). Both LG and HTC all the low-end to mid-range are pretty much worthless compared to Xiaomi, the high end and flagship looks interesting but they just went full retard with their pricing and specs.
AnonD-314089, 13 Mar 2017 A reasonable price. Mainly looking at the prices of today's smartphones.Rubbish
LG please don't forget that you are LG or you will meet Nokia and Blackberry in heaven
AnonD-1825, 13 Mar 2017"why are people still paying so much money for a smartphone? I mean todays midrangers are more... moreHave you actually seen Huawei's pricing for their similarly speced phones? Especially the high-end ones. Those cost the same as the mainstream flagships.
