For 30£ you can get branded chinese cellphones with excellent quality with features like dual sim, 3.5 jack, BT, big screen, java apps, gprs, edge, wap, good loudspeaker, 3 megapixel camera, flash, video and on and on and on.......and that too slim and sexy design. Nokia cant survive in low end market unless some innovation.
This phone is not at all bang for buck.
Hey! The audio jack is ain't no 3,5mm! It's 2,5mm! Why nokia? Why?!
this is the best nokia phone eva! nokia should stop creating those symbian phone, instead focus on jabra phone
Finally!! Nokia makes this kind of low price phone but packs a music player/micro SD slot and other stuff...imma get this one when it comes out! XD
Java?
People who use their phone as a music player is the target market and just for 35€ it's a bargain. The batery life seems impressive.
Nice phone. Will sell well in India. This is where Nokia's strength truly lies.Battery capacity is comparable to N900!Fantastic standby time.
WOW NOKIA just WOW... for a low end phone, WOW this is really impressive, and that battery is the same as my N5230 battery, but with that s30 it really WILL go for 2 months, and this is really great for kids and older people that don't need GPS, WiFi, huge sreens, and other BLABLA stuff....
way to go!
Anonymous, 08 Mar 2011Nokia should stick to making low end phones only and leave the low/midrange average phone sect... moreBashing Nokia even when they announce a phone that have nothing to do with the high-end competion, Jesus.
Go use your overated Android phone and leave everyone alone.
lol the battery is the same as the nokia 5800 expressmusic..and a lot longer lasting than my n8...wonder why nokia cant combine all these good stuffs in one high-end phone...lol!
Nice, just nice. A low end phone with a promising music player. Battery sounds more capable than phillips xenium series. Simple n value 4 money
Nokia sure give a kick in d low end. Good job nokia
you can mock all you want
but this phone will probably sell more than all smartphones put together
and that is why nokia will remain no.1
60 days is a loooong time. The specs and features really show which market this is aimed at and it's one that HTC, Apple and Samsung are ignoring.
Whatever else they do, I hope Nokia keeps s30/40 for these markets whether it's an 8 year old Australian's first phone or a useful way for a family to connect with other people in less prosperous countries.
Why does Nokia always good in making low-end phones? The Touch and Type is the best S40 ever and now this S30 is making "noises". Why Nokia? WHY?
the 1320mAh battery should last a mammoth 61 days of standby.wtf ??? to all fanboy this monster is the real phone = back to basic.it doesnt matter how superb ur smartphone u guys have and it doesnt meant anything if the phone itself cant last for 2 days..hahaha
p/s=android + iphone= right pocket>phone = left pocket>phone charger,,hahaha
AnonD-3303, 08 Mar 201160+ days of standby? OMG, that's TWO MONTHS... Nice phone for a secondary one, or those user... moreIt would be seet and I would just buy it for that and throw away my always running out of battery N97 just for that... but knowing Nokia as I know, We will be fortunate if he lasts for a week...maybe less...
Dual sim dual standby would have been better.Right?
