Anonymous, 08 Mar 2011just like the article said, this survey is U.S customer only. and U.S is Nokia's weak spot. ... moreyeah but on terms of smartphones nokia is hardly desirable or even useful in comparison to any of the other platforms or manufacturers. they havent released a wp7 yet and symbian is painful to use once you have been exposed to such a premium ios or android app developer ecosystem.

Didn't see this coming, android os is pimping bb os. But in all seriousness, androids phone are coming out almost every month and every carrier. It helps when dual core, personal customization and gaming centric (xperia play) is using google os!

It's funny how not representative of the world is the US market. Like.. completely different. Nonexistant platforms like Blackberry are popular, while popular ones (SYMBIAN) dont even appear in charts XD.

I dont believe it since US is just a quarter of the world's mobile phone market. Try India, China or Korea and the specs will change.

Of course Android will be no.1. They come out with new phones everyday on every network. It's not hard to dominate a market when you force feed everybody everywhere.

From Australia working in the mobile industry-

Although Apple iPhones are currently dominating, HTC's Android phones are becoming exceedingly popular with more and more people becoming interested. Only in the past 6-12 months has Android really become known to Aus's general population, barring a rare few who have known HTC and Android for a few years. With Android being available on more than the one 'model' phone people can stay with the maker they want while having the Android operating system. That in itself is making Android more and more popular. That, and how compatible with nearly everything Android is.

That's my opinion from what I have seen with my own eyes.

                            Thanks!
