Almost all top brands use Sony sensors made to their requirements for their flagships. So what's an issue here for Sony's fans? Why and how it can be termed as a copy?

Your previous comment was saying how boring it is. You are contradicting yourself. You just change your opinion to fit your situation however you like. -_-
AnonD-57516, 17 Mar 2017This report by GSMArena already stated Galaxy S8 is not using the Sony sensor. LolIt's not using the same sensor used in Sony's upcoming flagship but it didn't say S8 isn't using any Sony sensor at all. Read the article properly first.

Hopefully the S8 will be able to make this feature useful unlike Sony which makes you press a button to record 0.18 seconds of slo mo, which almost defeats the purpose.

Wow Samsung is always having a competition with Sony in smartphones

No need for separately crediting them. Sony made more profits from its sensor business than their mobiles.
Would it hurt them to just throw in a slightly higher resolution camera and bump the frame-rate down just a little? 12mp is pathetic (now) compared to other phones. Just an idea. little disappointed :/

This feature of shooting high framerate video has to be developed with the phone hardware and takes a lot of time. So, and unless Samsung knew that Sony was about to have that spec in their Xperia phone some months ago, it's not called copying...
You just cannot copy something that is hardware related in 3/4 months, it has to be in their checklist when they are developing the phone.
Anonymous, 16 Mar 2017copy who? Sony invented slow motion now? No, they didn't. But they were the ones that should get the credit for implementing DRAM on the camera.

I've never seen a convincing LG, Sony or HTC worthy of taking on even a dropped S7
And I was wondering what will be the next thing in the spec race...
Obviously there must be something new to defend the 1000€ price tag(Duh!),and as usuall with android its the least important part of the smartphone expirience :/
Now continue to wonder why Apple is steadily increasing its market share!
Whose said the 960fps slow slow motion is useless feature and people don't use this feature in Sony thread? See Samsung now follow the Sony way, those trolls speechless!
