LG G3 had the sudden death problem (battery dies within 1 year and phone motherboard 6 months after) and nothing was done. About 2/3 off all G3 phones sold worldwide are dead.
veryangrynerd, 18 Mar 2017Idk what kind of loose contact it is that magically becomes loose after getting it to 6.0 mars... moreI think it is better upgrade to 6.0 before warranty period expires and get motherboard replaced when it gets bootloop.
Note7 owner, 17 Mar 2017LG won't recover from this, Huawei will eventually eat their lunch and dinner. Samsung you're next. That is what you wanted, Huawei boots licker, but that not happens, at least with Samsung.
I had the same problem with my G4, 6 months after I bought it. Luckily the phone was still in warranty and they replaced the motherboard and the battery. Still works fine now.
I have a lg 4g.and it stop working .it turns on .but it wont go pass the main screen.
Idk what kind of loose contact it is that magically becomes loose after getting it to 6.0 marshmallow, as a technician i advised everyone i know to not update their g4 to 6.0 and they have their phones still working till now.
Every single dead g4 i have encontered was either being updated to 6.0 or was on 6.0 for a max of one day
Anonymous, 17 Mar 2017Lots of Sony fans here on this website for some reason.I know right. Why the heck they keep talking about Sony?
Cyka Blyat, 17 Mar 2017bootloop in mysterious ways...Back in 2016 LG acknowledged the problem with regard to the G4, saying that it occurs because of "loose contact between components".

Just because your friend's Z5 doesnt crack when dropped but the S7 edge does, doesn't mean it applies to everyone. For some people, even the iPhone 4/4s doesn't crack when dropped, so it really depends.

I dropped it plenty of times and it still have no cracks. It is one sturdy phone. The phone is a little bit laggy, but that's to be expected from a 4 years phone. Other than that, no problems what so ever. After I upgraded to the LG G4, I passed it down to my little bro. Still it's functional without issues. It's all about how you use your phone.
PS: I really hope my G4 doesn't bootloop on me. Made a backup regularly just in case.

Anonymous, 17 Mar 2017My moto x 2 still kicking some ass and my moto g 2 also hahahaha poor sony my friends z5 dies ... moreOh right, so I guess that's the reason why my friend's Xperia Z5 still rocks and another friend of mine with the Moto X Pure already has its front glass tearing down after being dropped at waist height. Poor Motorola lol hahaahaha
Anonymous, 17 Mar 2017What's this got to do with this articleThe point that everyone that plans on using Android should just go with Sony because they're the only phones with literally no problems at all. Those self-cracking isssues of their glass backs are definitely done with an abuse where once happened with the S7 and S7 Edge, both might not even survive it at all.
I want in on this! Mine went into the boot loop 1 week out of warranty and they refused to do anything. LG stands for low grade!
FINALLY, some actions to be done in making LG quit mobile industry :D
