I copy and pasted this comment from my windows 95 computer.
Obviously the the mobile division of windoze is in a separate
building from the main one . Possibly in another country or planet .
After Microsoft-Nokia merger we see some upgrades in quick succession. And i think there will be regular updates in the future. This update maybe be small but it's crucial and significant.
WP7 has the potential, it's in motion.
Microsoft is greedy; they were not happy with the money they made selling software. They want more and more money - now they are interested in selling multimedia content - and this is the real reason behind the limitations. Don't expect realistic updates. The wind changed, welcome in the limitations world. There is nothing we can do to change this trend. The result - another platform for sheeple-mobile-phones... Nokia landed pretty hard...
Have you really believed that Microsoft don't know how to make complete and functional operating systems?
It's pretty hilarious that we're talking about copy and paste like it's some big news. Pretty sad that for Windows 7 Phone it is. And sad, that there are many other ridiculous things that are still left unfixed there.
AnonD-3451, 10 Mar 2011the easy option is to go for android.... because when these features will be available by wind... moreYes you are right about the alternate. While I try my best to keep Googles in a limit around me but than again there are no much choice left. Was thinking Meego would change the game the way N900 perform but it will take long time. Symbian^3 can deliver the punch for productivity side but they really really need to change couple of things in UI specially font. I don't go for eye candy but the experience need to be improve and I think they have it but little things here and there are needed.
Senzo, 10 Mar 2011I have an HTC-HD2 (released OCT 2009) which runs on WinMo 6.5 pro and it has all the features ... moreI have a HD2 too and I am not planning on upgrading. Still, copy & paste are not too important for me. I simply don't like using the Zune software but would rather synchronize with WMDC. Additionally, lots of my software won't run on WP7, such as CoPilot and other goodies.
Copy & paste is something I rarely use.
Still, for all the people complaining that this feature is coming in via an update: Apple did the same thing and users acted back then like the wheel had been reinvented ... !
The first update of win7 was promissed before Android Gingerbred, but Honeycom arrived first. Maybe this update will be available at the time with the release of another new Android OS.
AnonD-3441, 10 Mar 2011I like part of WindowsPhone 7, but personally to actually use it for me it still need a long w... morethe easy option is to go for android.... because when these features will be available by windows then others will go far ahead with more new features.... windows will lag behind again so, then??...
hahaah......... is it an update......??? what a joke..... I think the next update will be "how to rename the folders" lolzzzzzzzzzzz... dying windows...
one more thing... do you know Nokia is going for suicide... by launching windows mobile.....lolzzzz
is this an update or a joke.........? If they are saying it an update then microsoft must know that if they are providing copy and paste feature in their updates now in 2011 then when will they give the major features????????
Windows sucksssss........
one more thing Nokia is going for suicide by launching windows phone...lolzzzz
okay..Microsoft wants to go the Apple way. But this simple feature of copy/paste should have been there in the first place. The important updates should be the flash enabled browser.
Your wasting your time Microsoft
Senzo, 10 Mar 2011I have an HTC-HD2 (released OCT 2009) which runs on WinMo 6.5 pro and it has all the features ... morebecause it not just copy/past. Did'nt you read it?

I have an HTC-HD2 (released OCT 2009) which runs on WinMo 6.5 pro and it has all the features under the sun, so to me this is actually ridiculous. Why are they even calling this an update?
Why couldn't they include this feature when WP7 was first introduced?, It's not like they don't have the resources or anything.
How Nokia can go to bed with such a company also speaks volumes about their own aspirations or lack thereof.
Microsoft is pathetic
I like part of WindowsPhone 7, but personally to actually use it for me it still need a long way to go. And I hope by the time all my needed features are available in OS, it still run as smooth as it is now. For now yes I like it but I will not use it. I want true multitasking as MUST, file manager and file transferring without the Zune or other software.
Nichy, 10 Mar 2011NOKIA, stop works on crappy WP7 !!! Please, release Symbian 3 PR2.0 for N8 family and forget ... moreIf rumors are right then Nokia signed a 5 year deal with Microsoft.
With no intention to criticise, what is so difficult about integrating a cut and paste function? My completely uniformed opinion is that it would be a simple feature to integrate but seems to be problematic for so many operating systems. Anyone with a better tech knowledge have any ideas?
wowwwww amazing, we now have cut and paste and someone told me that w7 was supposed to a superior to wm6, which was more than a decade ago already had cut and paste, get serious Microsoft you are just so lame.
gud..keep it up microsoft....i m waiting for this update from a very long time....
Ariv, 10 Mar 2011was it so hard that they had to create an update for this??? i mean seriously are these guys ... morethey release alpa os xD
