AnonD-558092, 24 Mar 2017If you see white instead of grey, then your display must be really bad.If you say it's grey, then your eyes must be bad.
Even the areas where it's grey, the roads are still invisible, the contrast is too low. Why do you defend the design flaw of Googe Maps and it's developers' idiotism?
I just realized you could do that for ages with Alert Motorola and Samsung Emergency mode. But now you won't make your friends and family think you're being killed in the downtown.

You can do this with their Google+ location sharing function too. You can choose to share it with a group of family or friends (Circles)
Google is slowly becoming a monster. So glad I moved away from all their services. They're under-developed anyway.
Long live Microsoft services and Windows 10!
Have been suing Find Friends in iPhone for years and I am sure Android OEMs have their version of the same app on their custom skin.

Also "well-done Google", for implementing it back and not altogether forgetting the feature (as I had initially feared).

After Google Latitude was discontinued, I thought they would implement a quick new replacement but it seemed like they forgot about it. That's why I said well-done (better late than never)!
Ok, so Glympse is about to die.... :(
Anonymous, 22 Mar 2017Doesn't Apple Maps already do this?Don't compare apples and goggles. One is tasty and looks great, one is useful and very reliable. Like those weirdos that compare apples with Sam's songs.

Anonymous, 22 Mar 2017Doesn't Apple Maps already do this?Bro, don't you dare compare Google maps to apple maps

AnonD-632062, 22 Mar 2017This is a long-awaited feature! Well done Google! And in 2020, when Samsung will rollback to hardware buttons, you'll also say it's a long awaited feature? Taking out something that worked well and putting it back as a new feature is not well done. That's so lazy in fact.
I'm already sharing it with my best buddies: the NSA and Putin. I don't even have to activate the feature.
Doesn't Apple Maps already do this?
Wife: Where are you at?
Husband: I'm at work where else?
Wife uses Google Maps
Wife: Have fun at work and please Pay the Stripper an extra bill
Husband: Wait what?

Google is once again "borrowing"…
