What is going on at Motorola? I had no idea a smartphone could be made so ugly.
Well, that's ugly and horrible...
Moto X was always a flagship phone with beautiful design...
Moto X 2017 should have at least SD835, front facing stereo speakers, rear fingerprint reader, Amoled display, 20+ mp camera with OIS..
Otherwise it's not worth it and nobody will buy it..
This will be the final death of the Moto brand...
Anonymous, 29 Mar 2017I hope this monstrosity is not a moto x but somthimg like moto m/c.... Too proud of the design... moreHave to agree!!!
Their design is awesome
Zero, 02 Apr 2017Next Moto M will use Mediatek Helio P25 or even P30....
BTW... Why Moto X doesn't have any ... moreNO IT IS NOT.
Motorola's Z line is the one to support moto mods
X line is supposed to be pure Android with fast update (at first)
Z line is pure android with fast update + moto mods
Hope it have 2 front speaker stereo
Got hyped up until I read that there's going to be a SD625. Lenovo should of gone with the 820 or the 652 instead of the same chipset as a budget device from 2 years ago
AnonD-645398, 29 Mar 2017Both Snapdragon 625 & 626 are MSM8953.
It will be next moto X Play or moto m.

BTW... Why Moto X doesn't have any Moto Mods to use?
It is a pure insult to the Moto X lineage... they would replace easily the Z Play tier.
I hope this monstrosity is not a moto x but somthimg like moto m/c.... Too proud of the designs of my moto x2 and moto x style/pure :c

Anonymous, 28 Mar 2017How could they setup G5 Plus with a dual rear camera when their flagship Z line came out with ... more*turns out to be a bluffer
Pardon my straightforwardness of assumptions
Anonymous, 28 Mar 2017Have you forgot that the Z is the flagship This should've been the g5 plusHow could they setup G5 Plus with a dual rear camera when their flagship Z line came out with only a single rear camera? If anything, this article is indicative of a dual rear camera setup, too, for the next Z flagship(s), may it be for Z Play (2017), Z (2017), or Z Force (2017). Now, for a G (2017) line, it's a 50-50. 50 if dual rear camera setups became a high demand for the mobile market this 2017 or if they got their first phone with dual rear camera to perform superbly that it became a hit (you know it's going to both their Z and G line). The other 50 is if the demand for dual rear camera has not caught up for 2017 or if this dual rear camera coming for the Moto X is a bluffer on results
This is Moto X Play 2017... the cheaper version of Moto X...
No speakers
That Dual camera and flash look like a Wall-E stuck inside a phone.
YalokIy, 28 Mar 2017SD625..seriously ? What about something more future-proof?Come on don't be a bully. Sd625 is not so old. It can survive for next 2 years
Moto M 2017

The Moto X is coming back with a dual-lens camera

We didn’t get a new Moto X in 2016, with the company instead skipping straight to the Moto Z, but that doesn’t mean the name is dead - and leaked images suggest it could soon be reborn with the Moto X 2017.
Four images supposedly showing the phone were shared by Jerry Yin on Google+ and they include a dual-lens camera for the first time on a Motorola handset.
One of the images also reveals some specs, including a Snapdragon 625 chipset, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, marking this out as a distinctly mid-range phone, which makes sense given the Z range is Lenovo's (Motorola's owners) high-end Moto proposition. Between G and Z
The specs are very similar to the Moto G5 Plus, but with its dual-lens camera and ‘X’ branding the Moto X 2017 is likely to slot in just above the G range.
Other details that we can make out from the images include a likely metal build, a flash for the front-facing camera and a home button – probably with a fingerprint scanner built in – below the screen.
What this leak doesn’t tell us is when the Moto X 2017 will launch, but the hardware looks almost finished so we may see it later this spring or summer.
There’s no word on price either, but we’d expect it will be slightly more expensive than the Moto G5 Plus, which starts at $229/£249 (around AU$300).
