At least to be a fanboy is way better than someone who is dictating others. Ok, you are smart and educated
KMB877, 30 Mar 2017So, what's wrong to by a fanboy Nokia? Or Samsung? Or Sony, Mercedes, Armani...?Oh, COME ON... Did u that UNEDUCATED that u can't ANSWER WHY FANBOYISM is BAD?
Fanboyism is the CORE of many problems which made SMART & EDUCATED people becomes STUPID; once they BELIEVED in a 'certain' brand, no matter how SHITTY & expensive a product made by those brands, those people will buy it & JUSTIFY the SHITINESS & price of that product to no end, just like isheep done all these time...
In broader sense, FANBOYISM is one of the reason why NEW start-up companies died prematurely; they just CAN'T compete with well-known, big brands albeit offering BETTER specs with lower price tag; remember, when buying a smartphone specs come FIRST, then OS second & build quality third; u can make iur phone more "robust" by buying a hard case & flashing alternative OS if u don't like the default ones, BUT u can't change ur phone's SPECS, no matter what, that why BETTER specs come first!
And NEW Nokia proved that they are still the same old ones; making POS devices with CHEAP parts then OVERPRICED it as expensive as possible. At US$230, which is the "lowest official" price of Nokia 6, in my country I can get a Mi 5/ Mi5s with ease, added with US$5-10 metal hard case, I can rest assured my phone won't get bend like JerryRig shown on utube.
FYI, US$230 is CHINA-specific price! Different country have different regulation & different tax count; e.g in my country, this POS Nokia 6 when released officially will be priced around US$400-450 & have its 4G disabled since it was made ENTIRELY in China, not a price SANE & EDUCATED people will pay for, as u can get MILES BETTER Android phones at that price range!
Qwerty2017, 30 Mar 2017This is what FANBOYISM at max always do; saying some NONSENSE BS not logical at all...
NOKI... moreIf your country is stupid and wants to leech off money from people then order the phone online, try it out for yourself and "educate" yourself about the real value of this phone.
Considering you write plain non sense on Gsm arena without any proof you aren't very educated sadly.
The phone is NOT overpriced,it's 230$.

Egash Josh, 29 Mar 2017What does that even concern you as a user!?? or will you be using the phone from he inside?? D... moreThen why are you commenting if you don't even know the true meaning of integrity inside?
Qwerty2017, 30 Mar 2017This is what FANBOYISM at max always do; saying some NONSENSE BS not logical at all... NOKI... moreCalm down, just buy what you like (those cheap Chi***e phones) and stop educating people.
Anonymous, 30 Mar 2017My nokia 808 bought in late 2012 after almost 5 years still have around 2 days of battery life... moreThis is what FANBOYISM at max always do; saying some NONSENSE BS not logical at all...
NOKIA DOES NOT MAKE BATTERIES, DUDE...
The OLD Nokia batteries are MUCH MORE WORSE in life cycle & durability than Sony-Ericsson Lithium-Polymer ones, as they ALWAYS use cheap Lithium-Ion, added with small capacity and EXPENSIVE price tag for spare ones, which makes MANY people prefers SE phones as they not only give BETTER battery life & durability, but also made CAPABLE phones worth every penny of ur money...
Back to the "battery" topic, non-removable Nokia smartphones TRULY can be described as "just another Chinese OVERPRICED smartphones". MOST "educated" people nowadays DON'T GIVE A DAMN to Nokia brand; what THEY want is DECENT smartphone with DECENT price tag, ONE of the reason why XIAOMI, ONEPLUS, MEIZU, & INFINIX sold like hotcakes here.
FYI, Nokia 5 specs is SIMILAR to Xiaomi Redmi 4, yet HMD priced it 2x Redmi 4, and
Nokia 6 specs is "little upgrade" version of Nokia 5, "officially" priced from US$250 to US$300, yet Xaomi Redmi 4 PRIME, an "upgrade" version of Redmi 4, equipped with SD625 nonetheless, priced LOWER THAN HALF Nokia 6!
In my country, Indonesia, we can buy Nokia 6 unofficially with NO WARRANTY, BUT with 2x "official" asking price, which made it sold around US$ 400-500 for Nokia 6 standard!
IF people STILL BUY this OVERPRICED POS rather than any other CHINESE smartphones with MUCH BETTER specs awith the same asking price, I don't know what to call them other than FANBOYISM TO THE MAX like what I told u...
If u can't understand why people want Nokia to make removable smartphones, u really can't DENY that u are hardcore fanboy; WE all know what OLD Nokia is like and NEVER hoped the NEW ones will be different, that is making cheap, POS, device and OVERPRICED it like a flagship ones, so AT LEAST WE hoped Nokia made their OVERPRICED POS device battery to be removable, so we can AT LEAST save our money from giving it to service center for replacing the DAMN battery!
Anonymous, 29 Mar 2017It's just another phone with non-removable battery. This means it has short lifespan. When the... moreMy nokia 808 bought in late 2012 after almost 5 years still have around 2 days of battery life.. Even though the 808 has removable battery I don't find the need to change to a new battery any time soon.. This is Nokia's battery we are talking about
I hate to see non removable batteries in phones. Recently, two of my phone's batteries got swollen and I didn't even notice until the rear appear bulged due to swollen battery.. I had to immediately take the phone in a suitcase (to ensure safety) to a service point to take out of deformed battery. I remember the last Nokia phone I used was the infamous Nokia N8. It had a non-removable battery but you could easily replace it by your own. That was the perfect implementation to ensure safety and I hope Nokia comes with the same solution as I'm concerned about using any phone with a non removable battery..
Anonymous, 29 Mar 2017No, iPhones also have very good built quality. You can watch his iPhone 7 teardown as wellYeah, right. You want to see a real anodized aluminum body? A device that actually does not get scratched from packing it? Does not band and does not copy nobody but follow it's ancestors? NOKIA. iPeaches is a crapp, a banding one. If that is quality then i am 12 months old. But, well, minding the fact that Nokia now sadly has to produce their devices in the same factory, i highly predict a sudden change of quality in ipeaces.
chrwl007, 29 Mar 2017So's an iPhone... what's your point exactly? He does not know that actually 90% from the smartphones are Chinese, if not all. We all have to thank samesung and peaches for cheap Chinese labor. Oh, let's not forget we actually have to thank the mass, like him, who rather pays 1000 euro for a Chinese device (100€ monthly payed worker) then to buy a 500 euro device (2000 to 3000 € monthly paid worker in Europe). Funny, this are the ones that still dare to scream: Chinese!!!
