Sean, 30 Mar 2017No thanks. I rather have Sony's upcoming new flagship.Choice of quality. Very true.

Anonymous, 29 Mar 2017No super slow motion No stereo No bluetooth 5.0 😰According to the specs listed on this site both models does have BT v5.0 built-in.

UFS card v1.0 = 530 mb/s read & 170 MB/s write
Even though I listed the UFS card as the faster of the two, I think the UFS card and UFS 2.0 internal storage will offer about the same speed in real life.
Samsung has yet to announce the actual release dates or pricing details for the UFS card. So, we can't compare it just yet.

DrearyDepp, 30 Mar 2017Also, don't forget the fact that it uses the same camera as the s7.That, too. Very disappointing. No innovation on the camera side.
Honestly, I already got used to dual cameras thanks to my phone, so I can't even think of owning a phone without dual cameras. lol
Rafe Firmani, 30 Mar 2017GS8 = 148.9 x 68.1 mm
LG G6 = 148.9 x 71.9 mm
how can you say s8 is too big LOL..

Second of all, yes, too big. Sorry man, some people don't want over sized 5.7'' smartphones. Thanks, but I'll stick to my wonderful 5.2'' smartphone.
oalemao, 29 Mar 20175,8 inch and people loving it... what a sick world! perfect screensize for smartphone that ... moreI agree the ideal size should be 5" and 5.5" max but this phone is able to fit a big screen on a similar body so its physical footprint isn't that much bigger than its predecessor. And they're selling the top-dog version to China because all they care about is specs, and Korea because that's where the company is based. I think Samsung nailed it with this one, aside from the smaller battery in the S8. And I'm getting to that age too man, but I'll always appreciate new and interesting products.
Another highly overrated and possibly over priced phone from Samsung. I see no main improvements rather than a facelift to the s7. Regarding the people who were waiting to buy a new phone I would prefer to buy the Huawei Mate 9 pro which stands like a real super phone. Or go with the Xperia XZ Premium. For me I really don't care about bezels. It means nothing as the XZ stands much more durable and smells quality. Sony phones always feels quality in your hands.
To conclude, even the Lg G6 looks a better choice when you consider the price tag. I think Lg played it truly smart by enhancing the G6. They focused on the usability and durability of the phone rather than being obsessed putting the latest tech. Anyways the snapdragon 821 is still doing a great job. And they pushed the effectiveness of their phone to the maximum effect.
So i thoroughly made my mind to choose between: Xperia XZ Premium, Huawei Mate 9 Pro, or LG G6.
LG G6 says 5.7 inch screen diogonal. S8 says 5.8.
However, in reality screen size measured at squared inch, LG G6 has bigger size, if we consider 2x1 screen ration of G6 and 2.3*1 screen ratio of S8, and consider that about 0.3 of 5.8 inch display of G8 is on the edges.
So in terms of pixel count G6 wins. https://versus.com/en/samsung-galaxy-s8-vs-lg-g6
surely G6 is better phone than S8.
does the ufs card slot comes with the galaxy s8 or is it just micro sd slot.
Anonymous, 29 Mar 2017Bixby is a gimmick. It won't walk. Give AI another decade or two before arriving to every day ... moreI agree bixby is a gimmick, but you're just ludicrously wrong about ai and the importance of software.
I know, you want the BIGGER NUMBERS

But Most movies are not shot in that aspect, video apps like youtube, etc will have black unused screen areas. Gaming.... unless specifically made for that wide, black unused bars on both sides will remain on most games.... or it will widen the aspect ratio of graphics making it look more flat than it should be. Aspect ratio of this is just not good.
And no, Sony should stick to 16:9 aspect, bezels (some less) and front stereo speakers for better media experience.
If one likes this unconventional nonsense, he should buy this. Simple as that.
Joselius, 30 Mar 2017No. There is no 1000fps camera. No stereo speaker. Fake rumor as ever.glad no 1kfps tbh. That would have made Sony less of a standout. but everyone is kind of reving about this new display and near bezeless design.
Honestly I think sony should go down this route. Look at how old the s8 makes the s7 look. The s7 looks ancient and outdated next to it. the aspect ratio of the display eliminates the need for a nav bar that takes up space, makes gaming more immersive, split screen actually makes sense now, it's ergonomic for our hands, and movies now have less black bars. Sony should go down this route and get rid fo the front firing speakers or somehow intergrate with near bezeless design.

Well, it's S7 with SD 835 and exy 8895 with larger screens! What were the guys doing at Samsung?
Fábio , 29 Mar 2017Basically, all the rumors become real No. There is no 1000fps camera. No stereo speaker. Fake rumor as ever.
Anonymous, 29 Mar 2017Basically the smallest jump than in any galaxy before that. All you get is a taller screen.... moreits not that big actually. its shorter horizontally than the s7 but taller vertically. Just a bit taller but not that much. It's a lot of screen for a relatively small form factor.
