their new phone is a total fail, ugly, expensive, mediocre
xiaomi will probably release a better phone with 30% of that price next month lol
Anonymous, 29 Mar 2017All buttons and fingerprint scanners of every phone should be on the front and on the side of ... moreIdk man, I use the iPhone 6 Plus for work and the Nexus 6p as my personal phone, and I always find the front fingerprint scanner on the iPhone is awkward and it takes more time to reach to unlock than my Nexus. Even my friends who use only iPhones liked it's placement.
jesse.clark, 30 Mar 2017So atleast samsung users understand this lol, really when these haters say about their fingers... moreThat's because if you are using your right hand index finger to scan, there is high chance that you will smudge the camera lens too. Simple as that.
jesse.clark, 29 Mar 2017I'm sure you never used a galaxy S phone and just trying to manipulate people by mentioning S7... moreWell it's those Chinese brands that bought bezel less design in first place. Also I agree that Samsung makes good phones but that doesn't mean that other companies can't make better ones. And coming to endurance rating I'm sure this one is gonna have a pretty high one thanks to standby time. The real sot though is another story. See z play and c5/7 pro review for the same
lag is a lie in andr, 30 Mar 2017Yes, it's not a design fault, just people with poor hand hygiene skills causing their own issues. So atleast samsung users understand this lol, really when these haters say about their fingers ruining the camera as it's near the fp scanner, it just shows how dirty their hands are, I never touch my phone unless my hands are clean. If using fps at back makes their camera dirty then their touch display would be unable to display anything. It's just a way to troll samsung because I've been using the heart rate monitor in my S6 edge from two years and I never touched camera accidentally, your mind knows where the camera is and where is the sensor. In case your hands are really dirty and you need to use phone. Either be careful not to touch the camera (tho your phone would already be ruined before camera) or you always have the iris and face recognition.

I'm not gonna skip S8 for it, note 8 will be amazing but who knows S8 is amazing right now and unless you are thinking about those S-pen perks, S8 is perfect.
Anonymous, 30 Mar 2017More likely, it means, wash your oily and germ infested handlers when you hold an s8Yes, it's not a design fault, just people with poor hand hygiene skills causing their own issues.
Would Samsung run free correct phone holding lessons ?
-top 5 holding techniques tips ?
-offer free special gLoves to stop lens smudging ?
-Free lens cover kits to help reduce smudging?
Harold, 29 Mar 2017And people said big bezels is a problem..function>formTo HAROLD:
Good for those people. I hope they enjoy the results with this awkwardly placed fingerprint sensor.
I love my S5. I will stick with it for as long as possible.
If the s8 looks this gorgeous, can't wait for the note 8. Hopefully the underscreen fingerprint scanner will be available by the time it comes out.
Haswell, 30 Mar 2017I'm still looking for a device to buy but it makes me mad when I discover things that make me ... moreAs far as the phone is optimised to provide good battery life I don't care if it's 4000,3000 or even lesser. If it scored around 80-85 hours in gsmarena battery endurance test then it's really amazing even with a smaller battery. And if the placement of fingerprint sensor is a deal breaker for you then I'd say you never had any plan to go for S8, maybe budget reasons because it has iris scanner, face recognition but they still didn't remove fingerprint sensor and its still present making it perfect and fully equipped.
BS! The problem is not that the scanner is off center or next to the camera lens but that it is so damn high. And even that is not a deal breaker. Fkn generation of complainers, never satisfied never happy. This smartphone is probably the best thing that you gonna see this year (until Note 8) and it will sell like hot cakes because of that. And as always you can choose something else. So why the hell cry over something this insignificant smh
I'm still looking for a device to buy but it makes me mad when I discover things that make me skip the device under consideration such as the S8!. First of all, with such a high price tag, I must have at least 4000 battery and the location of the sensor is just stupid in my opinion so I'm looking forward to other devices from Sammy such as the A8, A9, A9 pro (2017) versions. I hope they 'll equip 'em with notification LED.
More likely, it means, wash your oily and germ infested handlers when you hold an s8

Buttons and fingerprint scanner on the back is nonsense and crap design.
This is the exactly same problem that LG phones always had, because the power and volume buttons were on the back, under the camera, really close to it.
I always said that it is a very bad design from LG. And that's why it's good that since G5, the volume buttons are on the side of the phone. Unfortunately the power button is still on the back.
